Great pick up! Robin is a great character in his own right. Look at all the side kick and costumed boy heros who followed in his wake. As weird as what I'm going to say sounds, this is kind of an under-appreciated book. Go figure... (shrug)

I appreciate the heck out of that book :applause:

yeah I have always put this book along side all the major DC keys. How many people can finish the sentence " Batman and.......?" Robin is an Icon.

Thanks BB good stuff as always my friend!! unfortunately however this copy is incomplete and some of the missing pages happen to be the ones you posted...if it eases your mind my copy did come with Xerox pages which I thought was neat and they do appear in the same order as you have posted!! fortunately most of the book is there including Gallows and the Ghoul and they are nice PQ wise...thanks again my friend

Thanks for checking. By the way, I noticed this ad for Hangman in Blue Ribbon 14. Looks like George Storm did the art for the ad and Meskin did the art for Ty Gor. Pep comics was a powerhouse of heroes. The Shield was Capt. America and Superman rolled up into one guy and the Hangman was a more sinister version of Batman. Only Archie could defeat them, with Montana's help.

In the next issue, George Storm did the art for Ty-Gor and there was an ad for Captain Flag.

You do know your copy is one of the tougher ones to find. If you look at most of the Detective 38's, the majority have very poor registration. Your copy is near perfect (worship)

I was super excited to get it. I also like that the restoration is limited to glue and tape on the spine which was done years ago just to keep the book together. As far as I'm concerned, I don't consider it restored. It's also a much nicer looking 2.5 than any other 2.5 that I've seen. And, 2nd best page quality. I really want to get a Tec 40 next so I can display them side by side.
