I'm not gettin' rid of this for a dinner I'm thinking it's worth at around $200 maybe a little less but you don't see them on the market that often. I didn't have this one and doubt I'll upgrade, so it shall be passed on to my children who will immediately sell it upon my death.

I picked up this key APC from ebay for the tidy sum of $59 No tanning and pretty decent PQ. I've been waiting for a deal like this to come along.

I think the Wedding Bells 16 is also Baker work. The women have the Baker qualities. And, the women in the background look Bakeresque. I do think the ink job was of course no where near what Baker could have done himself. But, I think the publisher was going for a distinct kind of "black line" look on all covers for some kind of consistency.

I just realized something. I understand now why they say Love Romances 93 had partial Baker cover. Coletta reused Baker's work in a later issue..

Here are a few covers that are may or may not be Baker covers. I do believe the Girls In Love 57 is Baker and is one of my favorites outside of St. John for his romance covers.. The Love Romances is a big toss up. The girl back for sure does not look Baker.

It is a Baker cover. Most of his covers outside of St. John, the details got lost in the inks done by others. It's difficult to recognize quite a few of them.

Poker Kid already nabbed a copy that was up for grabs a few weeks ago Now, I'm in line for the next one.

Kudos to Cimm (Joshua) for the great Bakers!!!

I've recently been getting into Baker illustrations. Most of his illustrations were done towards the end of his life. I believe he was getting out of the "comics" and headed in this direction since most of his later work in comics lacked his signature edge. Of course, some of this was due to poor inking but I don't think his drive was into comic illustration towards the end of his career. These are just a couple from the Manhunt pulp...

Nice book. I would love to collect the Cap's with Golden Girl appearances. And they say the mini-skirt was a thing of the 60's. Nice comic!

Nice copy! I'm still on the look out for a Wartime Romances 1. I bid on the one on the last CL auction but I'm pretty sure I would have had to pay close to $200 to get it. I stopped at just over $150. That reminds that I'm overdue in scanning some Baker books. Nice book! I hope you'll share more.
