Just got my TEC 33 back from CGC, it scored a 1.0 and I couldn’t be any more happier! Love any low graded key GA. My dream is a 0.5 TEC 27 or 0.5 Action 1...those are definitely in my price range. Lmk of any leads. Have a great Sunday all!

Big congratulations on an incredible book. I would love to own another low grade Tec #33 some day.

I've also taken into consideration that i think it is tougher to find a complete coverless copy than a complete copy and that it is the entry level for collectors so bidding will always be more since complete copies are out of reach for most.  In today's market, ANYTHING can happen.  And I agree with jgallo that a complete copy with supple pages is in that price range.

Complete coverless can be very tough. So many coverless copies have been used for missing parts. It’s not at all uncommon to see key coverless books missing the centerfold, first few wraps, etc.

Didn't have time to take a close look at the scans yet, but it appears that the 'Tec 31 1.0 is going (so far only) for $10K more than the CGC 2.0 graded copy.  :whatthe:

Do the Brittle pages really knock the value of the book down by that much?  hm

Brittle pages kill the value of books.

People are afraid of the pages disintegrating as they flip through them.

Could it/would it have ended any other way besides a draw?  No...if one or the other had won, fans of the loser would have been disappointed to the extent that viewership would likely have declined.  No one want to be seen as supporting a loser.  Similar to the Superman/Flash races...it's the ever popular draw lol

I think it had to end in a draw for the reasons stated above.

Cap 1 copies on the census (all label hues) 155

    Marvel 1 copies 60

    Just sayin'

Curious census observation:  There isn't a single green label copy of Marvel 1 on the census.  Nobody ever graded a copy with, say, a married cf? Seems odd.

    And only 27 blue labels.

In nearly 20 years of slabbing comic books.

Honestly, if that ratty Cap 1 1.5 is a $71K book how is a (tough ped) Marvel 1 6.0 only a $215K book?

I'm asking and I want answers! :taptaptap:

Cap #1 has finally received it's well-deserved bump in interest, receiving the "grail-level" treatment.

Marvel #1 is coming back, but it's not there yet. Someone got a great deal on the 6.0. (thumbsu

  7. If the 2.5 with poor registration hit 87K, this was an absolute steal. It's a price that may seem "high" in comparison to some people's estimates, but IMO, this book has some of the most untapped potential in the GA market. The 6.0 was a sweet copy too. I could see it selling for a lot more in the future.
