  1. Two comic books that I had crossover graded were back from Florida today:
  2. Bree is working on it for me. I guess it doesn’t happen automatically and it’s one of those things you have to stay on top of and request. Think of it like a mail-in rebate. I got the grades back on two more crossover comics. Hangman #8 CBCS 2.5 ow/w = CGC 2.5 ow/w Captain Battle Jr. #2 CBCS 7.5 ow/w = CGC 7.5 ow
  3. These used to be in competitor's slabs, but I used the crossover grading service to have them CGC graded.
  4. I’ve got an email off to them asking how they handle that. Will see what they say.
  5. Nice. Did CGC honor the $10 grading fee on the book that dropped in grade? Since they charge the full fee at the verified stage, did you get a refund or a credit? Two of my five submissions dropped and I’m curious how the $10 fee works.
  6. Regarding page quality, three were the same and two went from off white-white to off white. Really not much change.
  7. An old friend hooked me up with this one. Super excited! Since the centerfold is detached, the seller had a color copy made before submitting the comic book.
  8. Just saw my grades posted online. Sent in some low grade Golden Age CBCS books for crossover grading. Banner Comics #3 CBCS 2.0 = CGC 2.0 Banner Comics #4 CBCS 3.5 = CGC 3.5 Green Hornet #24 CBCS 4.0 = CGC 3.5 (pregraders thought this would stay at 4.0) Veri Best Sure Fire #1 CBCS 3.5 = CGC 3.5 Thrilling Comics #38 CBCS 4.0 = CGC 3.5 So no big surprises. Two more submissions are coming later.
  9. Wow, that sucks. Wishing you the best.
  10. I have about a dozen Church copies, but this is my favorite:
  11. Hi, Can you please add a comic to the Golden Age Hitler covers set? Military Comics #7 by Quality Comics, February 1942, has a Hitler cover. Thank you!
  12. That was my problem. Had a couple of books I was considering, but it’s hard to sneak out of the exam room and check out the auction. Might see if there is something in Saturday’s session that catches my eye.
  13. With everything dropping in grade, you’re going to save a ton of money in grading fees. Good call on the Sheena.
  14. I think this is considered rare, but I've owned two copies and I saw one at a show recently.
  15. I've been told that some of these early All Americans are tough to locate.
  16. I saw a copy in Chicago about 10 years ago. I think it was A-1 Comics. I regret not buying it, but had other priorities at the time.
  17. Here's my poor little example. If I recall correctly, Heritage ranked this as the toughest MLJ.
  18. In addition to no mustache, the uniform is plain and unadorned, not really something a Nazi officer would typically wear, much less Hitler himself. The style of the hat doesn’t seem right. Hitler is usually depicted either without a hat or wearing an officer’s hat. @Timely could weigh in, but I believe when we discussed this a few years ago, the consensus was that Zip #26 was not a Hitler cover.
