  1. I've got some I's and J's, but nothing worth posting here. Let's skip to K. Lightning for my L. My M N is back to a Hitler cover.
  2. E is easy. F has got to be a Fight...how about this one? G would have to be Green Hornet. H is for Hangman.
  3. I don't know if I can fill all the slots, but I'll do what I can. For A, I'll go with the first JSA. For B, I'll choose this Hitler cover. C is a no brainer. Has to be Cap #1. D is a bit unconventional, but it's a Cookeville copy with Mickey Mouse and Hitler on the cover.
  4. I think it was a generic email. It was addressed to me, but I’m small potatoes to HA. However, I do shower daily, so perhaps I don’t fall among the unwashed masses.
  5. Got an email from Heritage last night stating that Tennessee has now informed them that they will NOT be collecting sales tax for their auctions in certain categories (including comic books). Heritage did say that this may change (and I’ll say it will change when the legislature reconvenes), but at least for now HA is not collecting sales tax from Tennesseans.
  6. I know others have done the same, but with Fiction House, I’ve kept a lower graded copy with better colors over a higher graded copy with a weaker color strike.
  7. @skypinkblu Sharon, I think the most telling statement is that, when you open the box from CGC and see your comics, you feel sad. That shouldn’t be what any company that sells a product or service wants to hear.
  8. This is the only copy in the census, but I do have a raw copy. Wonder if Schomburg did any other sports covers?
  9. I understand that there have been some exciting advances in the field of waterboarding lately.
  10. I used to have all the Spectre covers and most of the Dr. Fate covers...until my home was burglarized and I lost them. I tracked down a lot of the stolen books and the thief is doing a 26 year stretch in the state prison (he was a 14 time loser in our court system), but it broke my heart and I never tried to rebuild the collection. I've still got 52 to 55 (2 copies) and a few scattered other issues, but these are some that I had and lost.
  11. I thought the result was surprising. Maybe going near the end of the GA portion in the Saturday session of this auction hurt the bids. Might have done better on Thursday.
  12. You could just get some implants and make your double ggs into double GGs.
  13. Soon, we will all be forced to just go to Sarasota and pick them up in person.

Thanks for the kind comments, my friend. I’m glad you and your wife were able to stop by and check some of my collection. I’m enjoying your journal. Always fun to see what folks collect.
  15. Seems odd to fix a problem where none seems to exist. It would be nice to know what security threat they are addressing with this change. Also odd to make a change to a long standing policy without informing your clients. Perhaps they should have a thread on the boards for announcing changes. Maybe something on the main page here in Comics General. They could put it at the top of the page and call it “CGC Announcements.” Oh, wait.
  16. It will be interesting to see if your reholdered books are an improvement.
