  1. Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers #1 (9th printing) with pink pages. The 3rd printing of #2 was also pink.
  2. Submit under the tier that corresponds to the book’s current market value(as is - raw, ungraded).
  3. Apparently the number was included when there was more than one. The first I remembered was #303. A guy at the shop brought this up and we spent some time looking over a bunch of covers to find the “spiders”. I think it’s a neat piece of trivia.
  4. I know there’s at least one on #310. Lower right. Probably start at #303 if you want to find them all.
  5. What are your plans for the comic? Selling, keeping, displaying, giving as gift, etc? All that plays a part in the answer. Welcome to the boards as well. Enjoy your time here!
  6. I was a big fan of Firestorm/Fury Of Firestorm. That second series ran 60+ issues plus a few Annuals. I rarely see the character or comics mentioned.
  7. For Marvel Comics, the “Volume” number indicates which series the comic is from. Value is dependent on the individual issue more so than which series the books from. ASM for example is currently on Vol. 6 #47 or 48.
  8. Very sad news indeed. I didn’t know Bob outside of the boards, but I will miss his contributions to comic book conversations here.. It’s meaningful to know that those of you who knew him over the years had such warm feelings towards him, and by all accounts was thought of highly.
  9. That seems like too much wiggle room. I’d be afraid of dinging the corners if/when the book shifts in the bag. Do the acrylic backboards add much weight?
  10. Assign a value to the card as it is now, raw/ungraded.
  11. For those who were wondering, RMA is alive and well.
  12. Just a point of clarification, the “star” stamp does not denote the comic contains an insert, only that the comic was sold through a military run bookstore or AAFES store. Welcome to the CGC boards. Check out the links provided above and also the Bronze Comics area. There’s several interesting threads on MJI’s and related subjects.
  13. Here you go. Conan #151 with “Bubblicious” noted on label.
  14. I believe these were only found in October ‘83 Marvel comics(July cover date). Not sure there’s much of a premium attached to them, but I’m sure someone collects the issues containing them.
  15. Fwiw, the concern with centering of the Numeric grade has been brought up right from the start.
  16. Another couple dozen books arrived. What can I say? If you’re an actual reader of comics, Paperheart’s always got some good offerings on trades, mini-series, collected story arcs, etc. All the boxes get checked here: communication, packing, yada yada yada.... It’s cool to get comics from someone else who so obviously enjoys comics themselves.
  17. Is the seller someone who regularly sells comics or someone who operates an online garage sale on eBay? That to me would be the difference between not dealing with the person again or just offering feedback how (most) comic buyers expect their comics packaged/shipped.
  18. I wasn’t too fond of the custom labels, but thought this one looked nice, the brighter label art over the more muted covers of the comic page. This led me to thinking if going forward people insist on slabbing individual pages of a book, CGC(or whoever) could place a smaller thumbnail of the actual comic cover a particular page is from on the label. Sort of ties the two images together. I’m sure the logistics are too convoluted or expensive, but I think it would make for a nice presentation.
