  1. O.K., I get that. I purchased a page years ago and the seller said that even though he was a fan, he didn't like the story the girl was telling about getting revenge on her dad and the extent of what she would do to do it. (31pg01). I did think the page was pretty high for a single panel of Jesse. I guess the Jesse Tax from here on out it going to be $1,000 per page (per panel? ) Even without the Jesse Tax the floor seems to be rising even without the 'big 3(or4)' making an appearance. Not even 24 hours into the auction and PREACHER 55 Page 23 is already $1000 . If it goes much higher I will be doubly
  2. $975 seems like a lot for Jesse on 1/4th of the page. But that's what PREACHER 53 Pg 12 just fetched on ComicLink tonight. Sure it's the origin story of Bob Glover, sex detective , But I'm literally not buying that hyperbole.
  3. Sheesh, If there is a FB page/group started for every artist that has taken money and not completed a commission Facebook may need to buy some more servers.
  4. Just posted a nice Tall In The Saddle page with Jesse and Tulip in two panels
  5. I like a nice A-Level page as much as the next collector. But with three pedestrian panel pages I was able to complete THE GOOD OLD BOYS one-shot, a 56 PAGE BOOK !
  6. I have a similar question. Who are best suppliers of art portfolio books for OA? Local to Canada would be even better... I'm a fan of the PRAT REFILLABLE PORTFOLIOS. I like them because: They hold the pages in place I can adjust the number of pages per binder so I can group my pages how I like instead of grouping them in 48 page increments The sturdy front and back cover allows them to be stood on end on a shelf and not stacked on top of each other. Those look great but I didn't see any larger than 11x17 for those older pages that are just over 11x17 I guess they are just for 11X17 or smaller. They won't hold every page in my collection, but for the pages they do hold (like a complete story prioritized in one binder) they work great.
  7. Very nice! Any idea when they stopped with the word balloons as part of the art? All the pages I've owned (or still own) have the balloons. I haven't done the research specifically to find out, but my guess is they quit using word balloons somewhere between #35-40.
  8. I've recently begun a commission theme that's a little bit different. I've commissioned artist extraordinaire, Gary Martin, to aid me in turning one of my favorite spoken word albums, EVERYTHING, from Henry Rollins into a visual narrative. I'm doing the page breakdowns and layouts and then Gary does his magic. So far it's been a great experience. Gary is a true professional and can turn my scripts/stick figure drawings into something fantastic in under 2 weeks. Lettering is being done on the boards by John Workman. EVERYTHING isn't for everyone, but if you're a Rollins fan you may enjoy it. (click to enlarge)

  10. My friend, Samantha Gorel, has been working on a manga tutorial book for about 2 years now. She just finished it up and it can be *shameless plug* pre-ordered on AMAZON */shameless plug* When she told me about her book deal I immediately told her i wanted the cover . I didn't know what it would be, I just knew I'd want to have it. Today I finally got to see it If you're a fan of Manga, check out the cover to her book, MANGA: The Mega Guide in my CAF
  11. If the albatross gets too heavy, let me know I never got any main storyline pages for $75, but I did get some SOYKW pages for $35
  12. Added a nice 3 PAGE STORY from artist Andrew Cox . The story is from the HENRY & GLENN comic. If you're a fan of Henry Rollins (as I am) or Glenn Danzig it's worth checking out. What i like most about this particular story is Andrew did it in a Mignola/Hellboy style. I've got some more H&G art coming that i can't wait to share.
  13. This week I added two pages from LUCIFER 30. PAGE 3 and PAGE 18 . Both pages done by Craig Hamilton. While this order was being processed by Artist's Choice coincidentally PAGE 15 from the same issue went on eBay . My TWO pages were purchased for about $100 LESS than this one page (sure, mine don't have Lady Liz, but whatevs ). So, to the collectors starting out that think they are priced out of entering the hobby. You just have to keep hunting, which is all part of the fun.
  14. Birthday present from my wife. Douglas Paszkiewicz version of JOHN CONSTANTINE
  15. I have two myself From what I see, ANY page is going to be more difficult from here in out
  16. If no one else is going to bring it up, I will. FIRST PREACHER APPEARANCE I never saw this image before it was posted to CAF.
  17. It should also be noted that she was posting art that she "liked" in a folder without making any mention that she did not own it. Bill Cox was notified about this and subsequently shut it down. I'm sure He'd be interested in the info the OP has posted also. This "collector" has also adopted the methodology of reposting the same art every few days to remain on the new art list, obviously to draw more eyes to her scam.
  18. $152.50 for a COLOR GUIDE of ISSUE 22 page 1 . Interesting.
  19. Great great stuff His inking is just mesmerizing.
  20. are Dillon Commissions going crazy too? I admit, this is one of his nicer ones, but it wasn't that long ago that published pages could be had for less.
  21. I'd ask the owners of the pages from the same issue, politely, if they would mind telling you where they got them. Explain you are looking for a page from the same issue and I am sure at least one will point you in the right direction. Good luck
