  1. Picked up the JSC X-Infernus variant for $4 today. The Magik cover. Definitely a solid 9.6/9/8. Not exactly a super rare book, or ultra desirable, but it's pretty cool.
  2. Not really a flea market or anything, but one of my LCS was having a variant sale today. 25% off but if you buy 10 or more, it jumps to 50% off. I had 8 originally, but added 2 & actually spent less money than I would have with just the 25% off. So I knocked out a few books on my secondary title run.
  3. Kinda on board with that. Was disappointed to see how much of the "black leather armor" look has already worked its way back in. Even in DoFP, the future scenes had some people in not-black-leather. Was really hoping that they'd have waited until at least the 90's -themed movie before going to the black leather.
  4. All of them, they connect to make one image. Every JSC cover ever! I can't wait to see how he connects all his Gen13 & whatnot covers in!
  5. I don't see how people can not love this. I'm not being glib or anything. But it's just been fun so far for me. It's not nearly as serious as the original series, but there's also a sense of world-weariness to the characters that comes across in the stories too. Like everyone involved kinda feeling like "I'm a little too old for this. I was super serious about this 20 years ago but I've been thru all of this & know when it's time to be serious & when it's time to have fun this time around"
  6. I broke down & hit a BIN on the UXM 19 JSC sketch variant for $75 last night right after watching an auction hit at 97 or so. Seems that one has held value pretty steady for the past year or so as well & risen recently. So before I either get left behind OR it starts getting too volatile, I'll grab one at a slightly-higher-than-I-think-it-should-be price that seems to be in that "ok" area.
  7. A raw just went on eBay for $122 minutes ago that I was watching, so it's definitely gotten really hot recently.
  8. Their site is only partially operable as well.
  9. Nothing special, but for $4.28, it ain't bad. At least the All New X-Men variant & the Astonishing variant. Plus the newsstand x-men 37 filled that hole. Down to 3 books to finish my 1-300 complete set
  10. Realized I had one of the JSC Thor (JMS/Copiel run) variants the other day. And also found 2 of the JSC ASM (again, JMS run) covers for below cover in a back issue bin yesterday. So now I've finished off that run. And found another JSC X-Men variant in my collection too. Forgot about that one as well.
  11. If it's only 60-episodes of content where does Daredevil Season 2 fit in? Marvel & Netflix Confirm Deal For 4 TV Shows & Defenders Miniseries The original deal Marvel offered to a few network - and which Netflix jumped on - was four TV shows, with up to 60 episodes total. They added a made-for-streaming movie, which would be the Defenders. It would appear from the Daredevil results Netflix and Disney/Marvel made the jump to expand the scope from the original deal. Yeah. It's unknown how the 2nd season of Daredevil (or the announced 2nd season of Jessica Jones) fits into this contract. They may have expanded it. They may be working on a separate contracts for the additional "seasons" of these shows. Or they may have just worked out a "per hour" rate for however many episodes Marvel delivers for Netflix beyond those initial 60. We don't know & can only speculate. However, I think it's safe to assume that prior to new series being officially added, the existing contract is somehow re-worked or extended or something. It may not even happen until after Luke Cage comes out in order to see if Marvel keeps their batting average at 1.000 (at least, as far as Netflix defines it) after 3 series. I don't know. But I can speculate that they'll avoid adding additional series beyond the 4 or 5 (if you count the combo-Defenders as a separate series or not) that were initially planned until they figure out a new contract approach. But that's just a guess.
  12. Their kid didn't get abducted. Scully gave their kid up in a blind adoption to a couple in like Wyomning. Mulder & Scully both experienced a "what could have been?" like dream sequence in that episode. They don't know where their kid is. They only know that he was adopted in order to (hopefully) keep him safe. What happened to him in the intervening decade plus is what they were talking about this episode.
  13. I picked one up, thx for the link. And a few more ASM 688 Campbells popped up on ebay too. They are all 9.6's tho Jerome Missed it. Already sold out. Dammit.
  14. Buy it (not sure if you need or have this one) *not my book* I just bought one this month, but I want to see if I got a good deal. I 'think' I did okay on the price but another sale would go a long way. Jerome Ok hedge your bet and buy a second copy And then accidentally tell me your address & schedule & whether you have a security system & where it'll be in your house & I totally promise it won't be me that steals it.
  15. Delroy Lindo is awesome in just about everything he's in. If he plays it somewhere between Domino & Gone in 60 Seconds, it'll be awesome.
  16. Surprisingly solid. Didn't love it, but didn't dislike it by any stretch either. It still had an early-Castle-but-w/-Satan feel to it that I expected, but Satan wasn't quite as charming as Castle. And instead of Beckett, it was a little bit of a discount version of the sister cop lady from Dexter (I can't remember her name because I only binged 2 seasons of it in a week like 5 years ago). And I can't help but always see DB Woodside as the 2nd President Palmer (on 24), so seeing him as an angel (maybe?) was a little jarring. But I'll give it a few more episodes & see if it grows quickly enough. Definitely wasn't a huge turn-off by any stretch. But of the bat-guano-insane-supernatural-cop-procedurals that are on, while it didn't have that Season 1 of Sleepy Hollow insanity nor did it have the instant chemistry & charm of the 2 leads of that show, but it's got potential to grow. I'm giving it a 7/10 so far with some potential to go in either direction. If it gets mired down in too much "case of the week"-itis it definitely has the potential to sink fast though.
  17. I greatly enjoyed the first episode & thought the second one was pretty solid too. Would have liked a little more resolution though. It just kinda ended.
  18. One big difference between this & Constantine: air time & date. It's not stuck in a friday night death slot. It doesn't have as much competition on Monday nights.
  19. Bought a UXM 375 variant that I needed for my collection & Andy was excellent to deal with & shipped super fast. Great dude. Would buy him a beer. 11/10.
  20. Iger could try. But I'm pretty certain that Ike is either the top or 2nd largest individual shareholder in Disney as a result of the Marvel purchase. There was a LOT of stock that went to Ike in that deal & Ike's bought more since. That gives you some serious influence. Iger might be able to fire Ike from his position with controlling Marvel Studios TV or Marvel Publishing, but it wouldn't be hard for Ike to make Iger's life miserable on the corporate side of things, since he's on the board too.
  21. Remember though, in a Post-Free-Feige world, Marvel Studios is still essentially 2 companies. Before, Loeb & Feige could easily share between the TV division & the Film division (respectively) because they had the same boss. Now, Loeb has to go to his boss (Ike) who doesn't get along with the guy (Feige) that Loeb wants to share with, and Ike can say "nope" to talent sharing for whatever reason (petty or reasonable) that he wants. We know Ike is still a little bitter about Feige going over his head to Disney to get the Film division out from under Ike's control. And we know that Ike holds grudges for pretty much ever. So he might get petty. He might, but I can't believe even Perlmutter would make a decision that he thinks could possibly tamper with the quality of the end product. Surely he must understand A) how vital Infinity War is for the past and future of the franchise and film genre, and B) how resoundingly successful Daredevil and JJ have been so far. Surely he's got some people advising him on such matters Thing is, there's not going to be a significant boon (financially) to adding the Netflix characters to Infinity War. It won't add anything to the box office. It won't add anything to what Marvel gets from Netflix. The film division isn't going to hand over any money to the TV division for using them. And it's not like Infinity War isn't going to be ultra successful without the TV characters. Point blank, there's no benefit to Ike (beyond dividends on his chunk of Disney that he owns as part of the Marvel sale) to giving Feige any cooperation & it won't hurt either his division OR his wallet not to. But he does get to make a power play against a former underling that went over his head & exact both some revenge & play the "flexing my corporate control muscles" game.
