  1. That looks great! Is it my mind playing tricks, or can I see Spideys black suited mask in the Flashes body? Like one of those optical 'what can you see' tests.....
  2. He even looks hard! I can't believe I got so much technical detail right in the drawings (note that Neigh is missing his leg) and yet I couldn't spell Chronicle. And for the life of me, I can't recall what 'WD' (comics) stood for?!? 'Bobba Blue' was so called because we liked Boba Fett at the time and he was blue. Obviously! I think he was a foreign manufactured figure made to look like Darth Vader. 'Ni Li Boy' as we called him (an effeminate 'Nice Little Boy'), was Little Big Man. Remember him? 'Neigh' was his horse, who only ever spoke the words "Neigh. Neigh, d-neigh, neigh, neigh". Who wouldn't want to be a kid again, eh? Shortly before I left school, I got this published in my local paper, the Dagenham Post (note Doctor Who reference): Alas, I did not take up graphical art as my future career But I did win second prize in the 'design a poster for Asda' competition, where I stacked shelves to make money to buy comics during the sixth form! I mean, second prize? Come on!
  3. Sure! OK, I'll dig them out and PM them across shortly. Jimmers and Foley liked them, but they've got (gloriously) twisted minds
  4. It's not War and Peace Ryan! I don't think that level of factual accuracy would've been uppermost in Stan's mind back then. Remember, he got Peters name wrong in one issue. But I like the fact you spotted it. Could be a good new thread - obscure muck ups. Change the thread title and off we go!
  5. In fact, they're so real to me that I made a comic about them. There are lots of in jokes here for my brother, who I made it for, but I think you'll get the gist. @Artboy99, thanks for posting your comics. It made me go look for these in the loft as I'd more or less forgotten I'd done them See if you can spot any notable characters. I think I was ahead of my time, as this is effectively Toy Story 20 years early!
  6. I had that Spidey @Artboy99! And the Lizard too. Here they are with their 'buddies' from the 70's: Yes....I'm one of those sentimental fools who keeps his old toys. They're real people to me.
  7. Was his full name 'Nebulon the Unlucky' @kav ?
  8. Crikey, good question @BOOT! There's so many ways you could interpret that....
  9. The villain in that book can change shapes and imitated Neron Man and did a jewelry store robbery and killed the store owner all in an effort to have the only hero that could possibly stop him be out of the picture. Cool. I just liked the way that murder was secondary to theft! I shared some of my cartoons with Jim and Ryan by PM - I did them as a teenager and they're too rude to publish on line. Would you like to see them? I don't want to offend you, but they're horrific @Artboy99
  10. Is this fall out from World War ChucKav Kav? I've drawn for loads of people and they hated me as much after I did it as they did before. And I'm always honest me. Just ask Muggins (she says Hi by the way )
  11. I knew that web cam was a bad idea The honest answer Gunner Kav is I don't know as the last thing I drew was a portrait of my Mum & Dad for an anniversary 20 years ago. I assume it would 'happen' if I picked up a pencil. I have absolutely no idea why I haven't. But work, love-life, miscellaneous probably had something to do with it.
  12. Sounds intense! It's not my area of expertise - is Patsy Walker this Patsy too? Or was everyone called Patsy in them days?
  13. Who, me Kav? I wouldn't want to answer if you meant the guy in the previous one to me
  14. I don't doubt it. Some one will chime in with the answer one day, I just know it.
  15. Cheers @shadroch. If you want to see any particular issues, let me know
  16. Perfect! I like you @Artboy99. Nice chatting with ya. I'll see if I can find any of my old stuff. Will let you know. ?
  17. You might be right. There must be someone on here who knows someone, or even who has contact with Stan. Maybe ask him at a signing. I tried writing to Steve Ditko and he wished me goodnight. Maybe I could try writing to Stan but I doubt it would get to him even, nevermind him actually replying.
  18. Is this thread called the AF 15 Club because all anybody does in here is club the next guy over the head? If so, keep it up because it's very entertaining.
  19. We need to do a cross over. A Battle of the Century treasury edition type affair
  20. I'm not sure they were, that's just what every other online comment I've ever seen has inferred. The reason is likely to be so simple and obvious, once we know it. I just wish we did!
  21. Only because he never came up against Clumsy @Artboy99 ?
