  1. This thread doesn't get enough attention IMO. Nice copies, guys. Been looking for a reasonably priced reader to go with my slabbed copy for the longest time. I've got the reprint in trades, but it's just not the same.
  2. Yeah. I can see explaining this one to my wife.
  3. I guess this was the wrong time for me to sell off my Adventure 431-440 run

Wow. Really positive review. Glad the studio is really taking this show seriously.
  5. A good day for number 2s!
  6. Just came in. For some reason, much harder to find slabbed than their respective #1s.
  7. I've got two. Matched pair so to speak.
  8. I actually like the Cloonan run. Took a little getting used to after the book, but as the arcs progressed, I found the style fit mood and tone of the stories they were trying to tell. FYI to any Barry Smith fans out there, there's another Tupenny portfolio for sale/auction on eBay. Looks to be great shape as well.
  9. Pardon the camera pic. Got this in a cheap frame. The artwork itself is 11x15. To be honest, I've never heard of Chris Conidis, but this piece looked really nice and I got it relatively cheap.
  10. Always wanted a copy of Blazing Combat 1. This was a find at a LCS. Conditions range from FN- to VF+. Blazing Combat 2 and Devilina 1 is especially nice as are the Marvel/Curtis books. What's great is that I was able to get the lot for $100 even.
  11. A find at a LCS. Ranging from FN- to VF+. The Blazing Combat 2 and Devilina 1 is especially nice. Got the lot for $100 out the door.
  12. Beautiful Savage Tales. Love those old Adams and Boris covers.
  13. Very nice raw copy. I've been lazily looking for bargain raw copies the last few months, but haven't found any that both presents well and fall under my set budget. This book makes a nice wall decoration.
  14. Beautiful copy. The Miller DD run is the only other run I'm thinking about pursuing right now since I'm just about done with my Adams Bats and Smith Conans.
  15. Pre-orders are selling out fast! Act quickly. Got the dc retailers newsletter. Diamond is allocating them an avg of 50% of initial order. All advance reorders that went to back order were canceled. Well, I just put in for my pre-order and it took. Roughly twice what I paid for my original Harley ($170 vs $90), but it just looks so awesome. Big fan of the Arkham games.
  16. Here's a nice little retro review on Conan 24. http://bronzeagebabies.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-song-of-red-sonja-conan-barbarian-24.html
  17. \ Why 24? That's why I'm asking...have one I've had my eye on, but I'm a tad hesitant... Has a ton going for it. Not only being her first *full* appearance, she dominated the story and stole the show from Conan. It's also Smith's last and finest mainstream work (Red Nails is his finest overall masterpiece). The issue took top honors that year as best comic story as well, and still holds up today with repeated readings. The best way to read it though, is Marvel Treasury Edition 14. Reprinted in oversize format with all the racy scenes restored and unedited from Conan 24.
  18. I think what you saw was kull and the barbarians magazine #3 that I don't have and seems imposable to find but it is like this one in size http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Order=Date&Piece=16784&GSub=1161&GCat=344&UCat=0 The best of my knowledge was conan 23 /24 she was introduced As Red Sonja -- But wizard will probably correct me on that I have Kull and the Barbarians #3. This has the first solo Red Sonja story which was reprinted in Marvel Feature 1. The story takes place right after the events in Conan 24. UPDATE: I am completely off. I was thinking of another tale printed in another B/W mag. Either in Savage Tales or SSOC. Kull #3 has RS's first origin story. Dunno if it was ever reprinted, but it's very brutal and well drawn by Howard Chaykin.
  19. She played a minor role in Conan 23. Enough that you couldn't dismiss it as a cameo like Hulk 180. This is her first true appearance. For me, Conan 24 is *the* Red Sonja book to have though.
  20. A small mix of SA/BA WF. Dealer's pic. Really nice condition ranging from FN+ to VF/NM. Picked them up dirt cheap, primarily just for the one Adams cover to fill in my collection, for just $27.
  21. Could he drink through his helmet? That's the part that makes no sense. Want to display your power, have everyone float around smashing into each other. Levitate the table. Picking up a cup of hot liquid you can't drink doesn't do it for me. Of course he can drink though his helmet. When in need of something stronger than coffee. And for those less formal moments.
  22. Pre-orders are out for the re-issue Arkham City Harley. I really love mine, but this re colored reissue looks absolutely great. I think I might have to get it to have a matched set.
  23. Woot. Another reason to keep the thread alive I think this is like my 6th or 7th copy of this book. I just can't pass them up when high grade examples come up and they are so cheap.
  24. Bah. Could care less about the rodent. I want a copy of MP7 for just that awesome cover.
  25. I think I'm becoming a real hoarder for this book. I just keep buying them for some reason. Anyway, I just picked up this beautiful raw copy (9.2-9.4) for what I thought was a relatively cheap price. If I had any complaints, I'd say the PQ was not my usual standard. It's between OW and OW/W. Not tan enough to be categorized as completely OW, but not as quite as good as some of the OW/W copies I've seen.
