    I thought the Oakland was a bargain considering the pedigree and the great presentation. Be interesting to see if it comes back as a 9.8 with a press.

    Well, if there's any logic to our past time, Bats 232 should be the biggest key of the Adams run. As it stands, I put it behind Bats 227, 'Tec 400, and (embarrasingly) Bats 222. 232 was the very first book I bought after a 30 year hiatus from the hobby. It was the one that I had to have no matter what.

    It looks like the Oakland 9.6 is coming up for bid in the next CL auction. Does anyone know anything about this book? It belongs to a boardie, right? I didn't know this was an old label book for some reason. Always wanted to see it.

    Not BA, but I don't care. It just makes me appreciate my Conan 23 and 24 all that much more. Just got this haul off eBay for only $50 shipped. #0,1-37 Annual #1 Giant-Size #1 One Shots NM - over 40 books in total for only $50 shipped. You can only see half of them here as the other half is on the other side of the bag. Awesome pin-ups here. Guess I got some reading to do.

    I think they would have been better off using the pose from the logo. Some things just don't translate very well from the printed page.

    I have this one, myself. As much as I love it, there is something slightly off about it that I can't put my finger on. Seeing as you're obviously a fan and have one, do you feel the same way or I am just a crotchety old man? Legs spread a little bit too wide? Can't see old war dog like Fury in such an odd pose, even if the statue looks to be modeled after David Hasselhoff.
