  1. thanks for the heads up My 1st thought on seeing this was Wonder Woman has the same face as the ol' Bowen "Seinfeld" Superman. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Dunno if its the same face, but its not very pretty in my opinion. She looks too much like a man. Love the rest of the body though. Strong, tough, yet not losing any of its feminine qualities. Bah. Nothing beats Red Sonja.
  2. That Red Sonja is a hot statue. Dammit. She keeps teasing me. MUST TRY TO RESIST.
  3. My Jan CL winnings. The good thing about being only a couple of hours away from Saco, ME is that ground shipping is just as fast as overnight
  4. I've thought about it. I already have almost all reprinted formats as well as the original ST mags. My favorite had always been Marvel Treasury Ed #4. By far, Smith's best comic work period. I wonder why Red Nails has never been re-adapted like the other Howard stories? Heck, I think Tower of the Elephant has been redone 3 or 4 times already. You'd think Dark Horse would have jumped on this a long time ago unless the rights are tied up or something.
  5. I'm more worried about coming home and seeing Red missing a head or some other appendage.
  6. Man, I really, really, really want that new SS Red Sonja statue, but I think the wife will balk at the price and amount of exposed skin. I'd hate to get it and come home just to find that it was victim to an 'accident' like the lamp on A Christmas Story.
  7. Just out of curiosity, are there any 'investor' interest with statues? If so, is there a guide somewhere for this sub-market of the comic collecting community?
  8. Maybe not eBay, but I'm astounded how high the bidding has been with Strange Tales 178 over at CL. Love the book, but WOW.
  9. Yeah. Wish I manned up about stretched credit card on this one. I had a feeling this would happen. Me being a PQ snob was the only thing that held me back. Well, congrats again to the buyer. This will flip well.
  10. Suck it! Um.... uh..... Heh. With as much internet notoriety that issue has garnered, I wonder if Overstreet has the guts to note it in their next edition
  11. Awesome Conans. Especially envious of those Giant-Size books. Conan 12 is really tough to find in high grade as well. Haven't seen that many come up for sale.
  12. That's the one I really want, but I think that will exceed my wife's tolerance limit.
  13. Just won this over at HA. Quite cheaply in my opinion. Really surprised that there is so little interest in Conan these days, not that I'm complaining. Anyway, I close out the year with my last purchase of 2013 and also completing my goal of acquiring all the Conan "keys" (excluding the nude cover variant for Dark Horse's Conan).
  14. Eva Dry - Any gun shop has them. I think I saw them a Meijers also. http://www.eva-dry.com/products/eva-dry-500f-mini-dehumidifier/ Yes. Mine have been rebranded as Remington, but it's the same unit. You can order them through Amazon as well.
  15. I've been using my gun safe for my hi-end books for the last 3 years now. No issues with rust on the staples. It's designed specifically for security and not to be either fire or water proof. Air has no problems circulating through it. I still keep several mini-dyhumidifiers to ensure it's dry as a bone though (more for the firearms and ammo than the comics).
  16. Now that's nice. I'm on the fence whether or not I want to chase that book. Lately I've been branching out to the Batman extended family, but I'm afraid I'd be breaking discipline here.
  17. I think I'm dizzy after looking at all that. Wow.
  18. Not as nice as the ST #1 9.6, but $15 is not bad for a 9.0.
  19. FedEx just dropped this off. Been chasing this book for 30+ years. Far more impressive book than Conan #1 in my opninion.
  20. Just won this over at CL a little while ago. Don't normally collect magazines, but this is a book I've wanted for over 30 years and copies with W pages appear to be very hard to find. Admittedly a somewhat soft looking 9.6 from the scan, but at least the PQ is what I was looking for and the price was acceptable.
