  1. I've got the DH trades. Some of the best reading out there. A lot more mature writing than the original Marvel Conan the Barbarian title and much more inline with the Savage Sword of Conan series.
  2. THIS THREAD NEEDS A BUMP
  3. Yet a few more Adams covers (although you can barely recognize the inks over Murphy Anderson's pencils for a couple of them).
  4. Another non-key for my Adams Bat run. Could have sworn I already had a copy of this, either slabbed or raw, but couldn't find any record of one. Anyway, I have one now.
  5. Just came in. I will preface this by saying I am not a SA collector, but this is a book I've wanted ever since I first saw the cover this past year. The relationship between Superman and Batman during the SA and early BA was never exemplified better than this example in my opinion. This was the super "Friends" I remember as a kid. The adult in me understands why, but the kid will always wonder how we went from this to what we have on the cover of DKR4. Kinda sad really.
  6. Some of the best looking Treasury Editions I've seen yet. Couldn't pass it up in this condition.
  7. A few more Adams Bat covers in 8.0ish to 9.0 condition. Down to less than 10 books to go before completing the collection.
  8. Quite a bargain in my opinion. I would have pulled the trigger on it if I had known.
  9. Nice pick up. Same here. One of my favs. Graded copies don't come around very often. I picked up this one relatively cheap last year. Was OK with the grade because the book just presented itself so well. Plus, the pages are W.
  10. I remember buying those books off the stands as a a kid. As much as I loved the title, it just wasn't the same after Starlin left.
  11. I'm thinking most of the copies being bought these days are from flippers and resellers, not real collectors. Not surprised as this book has seen so much activity in the last couple of years. I do expect another peak in interest towards the end of the year once Gotham premiers on Fox and Arkham Knight gets released. Of course, when Supes vs Bats comes out in another year and a half, that's another boost to my collection's resale value
  12. I've been neglecting the Adams World's Finest run. I guess it's about time I caught up. The #180 is a beautiful 9.0 Boston copy.
  13. Cool. I may pick one up. I just did. Can't wait for it to come in. It'll look great next to Harley. Speaking of Harley, I'm really glad I bought that statue when it was cheaper. Prices are really up now. Harley is hot, period. And DC Direct knows it, hence it seems like they're releasing a new Harley statue every month. I've learned my lesson and make sure to pre-order all Harley statues, and try to not fence-sit on them. At worst, if the statue shows up and I don't care for it, I can always resell for a profit. It's gotten to the point where the statues are selling out and second editions are being solicited before the first versions are even released! (Bruce Timm Animated Statue). My final Flex Payment for the SS Exclusive PF will go through on Tuesday, can't wait to finally get her! Catwoman was a day one pre-order, and I am going for the green Ivy as well (I dicked around too long and missed the first one, which works out, because I prefer the green version anyway). yeah i can't wait to see what sideshow does with the Arkham games statue they have plan. Well, Bats came in. I have to say, of all the Arkham Batman statues, this is by far the best. The other two are good, but quite bland, especially compared to Harley and Joker. Sorry for blurry camera pic.

I like the 2 min trailer. Between the show and the new Arkham Knight game coming out at the end of they year, that'll give my collection another short term investment boost
  15. A couple of books that came in this week. Pedigree or not, it was a complete waste of money for someone to have slabbed this thing. Got it for the price of a reader and that's all this book is. By far, the worst looking Rocky Mountain I've seen. I think they would have been better served to have quietly disassociated this book from the pedigree name. I guess all the good books are sold and CL are just unloading the low grade drek. This Bats 217 is much better

Don't watch a lot of TV at all. Maybe the occasional History Channel and as much Football as the wife will tolerate, but I am excited about this show though.
  18. Worst book? Have you ever read Bats 222? Why this book is so insanely expensive in any grade is beyond me.
  19. Oddly enough, Denny ONeil felt that story was better written and better put together than the classic "Secret of the Waiting Graves" in Tec 395. It was reprinted as part of a select group of stories in Limited Collectors Edition 59 "Batman's Strangest Cases" where I first read it. This was by far, the weirdest one due to the subject matter. They should have picked Batman 255 instead. Much more worthy of inclusion.
  20. Wow. I didn't even know that was out already. Much cooler than the regular Akham City version.
  21. I agree. Besides some of Adams best work, those early Tec books are really tough to find in high grade. There's really not a bad book in the run, although a lot of folks tend to take offense to flipper boy in #410. Tec 402 and 404 are personal favorites of mine and were especially tough for me to track down in high grade.
  22. That's actually one of my favorite Adams Bat books. Very underrated. Falling in between 395 and 400, it tends to get overlooked. Very tough to find in top grade.
  23. Well, if I win that Twin Cities 9.6 (at a reasonable price) over at HA, you can have first dibs
