  1. This guy's statues are insane!!! He's got a bunch of Phoenix ones that are the best ever!
  2. Yes. People send pages for encapsulation all the time. Only difference is the label will have a "PG" for page where the grade would normally be. All the other information on the label would be the same just with "16th page only" notated.
  3. Yessir! The label will notate it's the 16th page
  4. I'm going to send this page along with a few others to CGC for encapsulation. It looks to be off-white or cream/ow
  5. Sounds right. I think you'd stand a fair chance of a decent final bid for 9.4, 9.6, definitely 9.8 preferably in a high profile site like Comic connect or Clink. A 9.8 recently auctioned for ~32k on Clink. Any lower grade it's more a buyer's market & your odds for a good auction result go way down. Just because a book is hot doesn't mean bidders won't try to squeeze out the lowest bid they can get away with. That's what bidders do. Besides the maximum auction duration is just 10 days on eBay. That's not long enough. Also if I'm not mistaken the bid increments on eBay are lower than other places. A fellow boardie here recently sold a 9.0 for 7500 not because he impatiently auctioned it off but because he had a BIN listing with best offers and was patient! You think he gets anywhere near that with an auction?! There are similar examples for other grades as well.
  6. I remember reading about how he thought the term "badger" invoked nagging or pestering so he went with wolverine
  7. This would be something only Roy Thomas (editor in chief of Marvel at the time) would know. He's the one who decided he wanted a wolverine or badger type character.
  8. Eh...it looked sorta like a weird punk rock version of joker. He's too skinny to portray morbius anyway. He has aged quite gracefully I must admit!
  9. There was another 9.2 same page Q that was a bit better centered that auctioned for 6800 an hour after this one. Not great either but not too bad. There were three 9.2s being auctioned here ending at the same time on eBay tonight which worked against them. Terrible timing for the sellers! Just put a BIN on it guys
  10. https://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-INCREDIBLE-HULK-181-CGC-9-6-NM-OW-W-1st-Full-Appearance-Of-Wolverine-/292774600782
  11. Eager to see what they do with Morbius! May be the biggest beneficiary of this other than Carnage of course. Good times for Spidey related characters!!!
  12. Oops I didn't realize it had to be alphabetical order. Your title and initial post is misleading. Looks like you meant best comics in general.
  13. It sounds like a wonderful fee free platform to buy & sell... There's no search feature for items being sold so good luck searching for a specific book you may be interested in!
  14. Right now? Jeez that would have been true since "the yellow kid" comic strip way back when. Hate porn in any form has always had a market. Free & open has its warts
  15. Thanks for the thoughts. Curious what effects specifically did you think were not up to snuff? For me If there's anything I can nitpick over would be Venom's torso. The musculature seemed a little off. At the risk of seeming like a bodybuilding judge I thought the chest was disproportionately small compared to the arms & shoulders. Ughh... just another reason I wish this had been MCU . Just didn't look quite right but I think the way they created the eyes & tongue made up for it. Hopefully they'll have a larger budget at their disposal next time and create a more symmetrical looking Venom... and Carnage
  16. This is the problem with a "hot" high census book in mid grades. Sellers rush to auction them off only to end up with a lousy final bid. In that case it's always going to be a bidder's market since mid graded 181s are auctioned relatively often. All a bidder has to do is wait a little while for the next auction. Imo the only grade that would make some sense to auction off at all is a 9.8 in a high profile auction house other than eBay! Otherwise just have some patience and put a "buy it now" price on it with best offers. Seems like sellers are allergic to patience these days
  17. I wonder why CGC decided not to notate this issue with "1st appearance of Venom in cameo" instead opting to go with just "Venom cameo" on the label?
  18. Just an update 9.4 white for 9500 two days ago https://www.ebay.com/itm/Incredible-Hulk-181-CGC-9-4-Marvel-1974-1st-Full-Wolverine-Wendigo-App-/192690808989 There was another 9.4 sold on Comic connect for 9,999 on September 5th that was just included in GPA. I'll try to find a link
  19. Oh my goodness gracious!... Venom has been a massive success why can't some dead enders just move on? What's this latching on to any tiny negative point trying to compare it to some other movie?! Woah hey gee whiz...it made one million less here, one million less there. Jeez who gives a flip? Results are in...It's going to surpass expectations by plenty, proven the critics wrong, viewing public loved it, increased the character's popularity...etc, etc
  20. Venom 2 : Critic Obliterator ??
  21. One thing that still sucks is their photo uploading system for messaging. They still look like 2005 flip phone quality photos. It's ridiculous!!! Hey eBay it's 2018 please improve your photo uploading for heaven's sake!
