Got another one of these to replace the one in the group shot which came back from CGC as restored/CT. One of my favorites from Cole's Jungle run.The copy I had before that also ended up purple for glue. I looked this one over with the blue light magnifier, looks good but I'm still afraid to send it in! Ha ha.

Man what a great thread- thanks for posting these here! I has looking for a high grade Beware Terror 8 for years, but found one a few months ago, very hard in such nice shape! GLWTS -
Definitely one of the most intense skull covers- that dude looks like he'd tear your face off in one bite.

Crack and Resub - anxiously waiting for the grade...
Black Bat replied to Dr. Balls's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
I've had heavily taped books come back with decent grades, I bet yours will make 1.8. This is a pretty clean book other than the tape, which is on a few interior pages too. The graders notes suggest the tape wasn't the main determining defect? I used to have a crazy-taped Eerie book and the tape had turned dark honey brown and brittle. The book was butt-ugly, with plenty of other defects, and it came back a 2.0, which totally surprised me. So who knows... -

I have never seen this issue for sale before! Seems like an underrated cover to me. Thanks for posting here and GLWTS. If this had a Fletcher Hanks Fantomah story I'd likely grab it, those ended at issue 15 though.

I get that, but the idea that they would add "digital wear" is totally weird. That's got to be some kind of creative position- after all I assume the Digital Wear will need to be done accurately and tastefully, no? They'll have to hire a "Digital Degrader"? Then will they need to have the digitally degraded NFTs sent to cgc for grading? Will cgc have to open a NFT grading dept?
-
This is my favorite- "Digital Wear". How freaking wtf is that? Each DC Collectible Comic will have one of five levels of rarity that are randomly assigned at the time of purchase: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary. If purchasing from the Legacy Comics collection, the rarity levels correlate to the digital wear that will appear on the comic book. A Common graded book may look faded and aged while the Legendary comic features a more pristine look to it.

The Undead Thread: Pre-Code Horror

Ha ha - I really wanted that one, watchlisted it but forgot to bid. Tough book- congrats! -
Love the cover and a super sharp looking copy for the grade! I don't think that's CT either, I had an LB Cole book with the exact same type of bleed, but more of it, and it came back blue label. Unfortunately, the book I sent in with it came back purple label / color touch. Ha ha, go figure. Great book, GLWTS!

By far the nicest looking copy I have ever seen of one of my favorite covers - those heads on the shelf are glowing! That blue/green back light is lulling me to sleep...You could sit that on yer nightstand and use it for a night light. Congrats!

Killer book! That Frankenstein is so gnarly! I don't generally like the Breifer Franks because they're too cartoony, but digging this.
