  1. I have had this book for a couple years: Has to be one of the greatest robot covers of all time. This copy desperatly needs a clean and press, staples replaced and spine around original staples mended. Still it has glorious colors and present well for a low grade.
  2. biggest book was prolly a action 9 2.5 unrestored and a tec 28 2.5 restored sold together for $6500.
  3. did you see the 36 and 37 light, reversible resto prices for all books sold? what is the complete list of books ? I can only see the 30 probably because it is a US only auction how desirable is the 30 to you - i mean would u pull the trigger instantly? Much less than was the 36 Do you know the grades and sales prices of the 36 and 37 ? What other books are/were listed ? 36 apparent 3.5 slight/mod @$2000 37 apparent 3.0 slight - spine splits sealed @ $2000 ( listings says 2.5 but label says 3.0)
  4. I really thought about buying it but i just don't want to change my focus right now. Still owning such an early bats appearance would be so cool. Then again once i do that I'll start wanting tec 27 and I don't think I want to go there.

  6. tec 30 is still available @4.5 slight for $2500 BIN : tec 30
  7. Love the sharp corners on the right side, really adds to the presentation of the book.
  8. Saw the movie earlier today in imax 3D. I liked it. 7.5 from me. Not a home run for DC but movie that should be popular with actual comic book fans. On the plus side I think all 3 heroes are well cast. Afflecks batman works for me and was a pleasant surprise if not a shock. Although Gene Hackman will always be the best lex luthor I like Jesse Eisenberg's version, his final scene was a little off in my opinion but the rest was good enough.I can understand how this character might be a tough sell to die hard Supes fans as die hards are often the toughest to please On the other hand it felt like the pacing was just a little bit off. I think thats what it was. Its a little hard for me to put me finger on it but something just didn't jibe 100%. The movie does a decent job channeling some DKR atmosphere but I think that really has its limitations here due to the fact they all team up in the end and Bats doesn't remain a lone wolf which I think is a critical element to the DKR storyline. It just feels a little like the story didn't build up to the conclusion properly. All in all a good superheroe flick for me. Beautiful in Imax 3Dand worth spending the extra coin if you are a big DC fan.
  9. Barton is top shelf. Buying from him is a no worries proposition.
  10. I missing something from the photos. That book looks very under graded. I see quite a few very thin color breaking creases on the cover. maybe several big diagonal ones but its really hard to see in this pic. Gratz on picking up this gem for $165 in 1977. So glad you held onto it and are aware of its true value.
  11. Have you read avengers #93? That is the all time greatest ant-man story and one of neal adams finest works as a comic book artist as well!
  12. Now its official I am finally in this club This was the only marvel age mega-key I had never owned!
  13. Don't go that far I liked the recent ff movie too (though I'd only give it a 5) That FF movie looked so bad i have almost been afraid to watch it. Was actually glad it bombed hoping marvel gets the property back so it can give us a proper version of its frist family.
  14. coolness factor is high on those amazing adventures!
  15. amazing spider-man 54 page 16 Thank you for providing me with the answer I seek. Though I don't have that issue, I will take your word for it. I won spidey 54 a few weeks ago slabbed and coincidentally had just deslabbed it minutes before you asked the question. It was at the top of the stack off newly acquired spidey books. Too bad i didn't start there though i started at #75 because the cover has a similar looking window on it so I thought the odds were higher it was in that issue. i was convinced by the way spidey looked and the "FTANG" sound effect that it was from that era so i gave a look being as the books were right next to me. I learned something as well from this- Spidey sure did crash through a lot of windows during the romita days!
  16. When people are OK to settle for mediocrity, just because that is all that is on offer, producers tend to be lazier, more entitled, and produce even more mediocrity. A couple of bad superhero movies are OK, but if it becomes routine they may crash like video games in the 80s. Hope it does not happen, though! I also note that Affleck was a horrible Daredevil and should not have been re-cast in any kind of super hero role, in particular such a key one. I think IGN thought Affleck was the best part. Carried the movie i think was their opinion. Not sure the details as i just saw that comment at a quick glance of the review score while trying to avoid spoilers.
  17. Nice. Never understood the "hate" that people have for this one. I always thought it was one of the better early stories. I love this issue. It is a little like reading a novel though(for a comic book). Ever take a minute to look through this book at how much dialogue and narrative it contains? its a little heavy on the wording for the average comic book. Maybe thats why some don't like it I think it takes a little extra effort to get through. I love the green background on the front cover and this copy looks very clean and unspoiled so the green with bright colors in the foreground look very vibrant.
  18. I expect it to be watchable. I never thought the trailer looked that great so I am a little surprised by the negative reviews but not shocked. I thought it would score somewhere around an 8 but even IGN which is a nerd site gave it a 6.8.
  19. Here i go again. Seemed like just yesterday i was posting white paged 7.0 here.
