  1. i would like to get a copy of that shock 17 the colors on that cover are amazing
  2. great stuff especially the splash page. love the title.
  3. those are fantastic books! i have a highgrade run of ST110-168 but most are VF with a couple NM's in there. Still need 103,104,107,108, and 109. this is a recent addition- a press would bump its grade significantly
  4. nice - does my heart good to see appreciation for this villain. i thought I was more alone than i actually am on this.
  5. This guy is a bum. I wish somebody would rough him up.
  6. very nice. important book to have in high grade because the the green, blue, and light grey background colors really tend to sour in the lower grades and make it harder to appreciate just how great a cover this is.
  7. I love 29. Has that classic "I don't believe in false modesty(JJJ).... or any other kind(PP) "exchange. Although Parker just thinks his reply cause its his boss its classic stuff. I actually had a boss once that had a lot of JJJ's traits! needless to say it was miserable working for him. Just that classic old school blow hard who doesn't really care about anybody else, maintains his public image and thinks hiw own **** doesn't stink.
  8. Nice books and good to hear a story that isn't a horror story about collecting. Nice to see it isn't always about the money.
  9. looks like cover and 1 page by adams the rest by ross andru
  10. seems familiar... got this in the selling forum just a few days ago? You're Lucky I am more a marvel guy I saw it first! I think I saw it before it sold anyways. Nice book I hope to own a file copy someday.
  11. who did the art on the book & record? It's pretty tight!
  12. Nope Not even sure we can beat Ohio s Sunday Well fingers crossed for ya considering the Florida women just got beat by Albany Didn't even know
  13. In addition to online, try to find out if there's a monthly comic show in your area. It can be a great source to meet dealers and like minded collectors... worldwide comics seems to have pretty fair prices and decent selection, with solid grading. If you buy in bulk you might be able to negotiate something of a discount. I have bought a few books from them and I would recommend them as one of the better sites as well.
  14. Some days my favorite all time spidey cover is #3 and somedays its this book For some reason this book/villain seems to fly under the radar a little but imo this one of the best stories as well. I'm guessing it would get a lot more attention if it was issue #10 instead of 20. At #20 maybe some of the excitement about early semi-keys starts to fade just a bit.
  15. just picked this book up in the selling forum. When it arrives it will be the nicest EC I have ever owned: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/924/Xf24ni.jpg
  16. That comic wants to be graded... No it doesn't. If it was, it would be of no good to me. +1,000! I never could settle for just reading reprints. The look and feel of the original is always superior.
  17. right on! i have a 4.5 from the last focused auction incoming.
  18. Gratz! nice starter book. Only one problem with buyng these books on the cheap like that is they are such classics its likely to start an itch to upgrade!
  19. Nice copy. Thats the issue(along with 40) that really makes goblin spidey's arch foe. before it i think doctor octopus has to be the guy but it all hits the fan in this story.
  20. i think I should let that book bask in a little more glory before i post my next issue
  21. I can't rave enough about the books i bought from edowens71 in the selling forum. :cloud9
