Doesnt matter, the comparision was posted yesterday. The Hulk 1 sold recently and the X-Men 1 sold a couple of years ago. TODAY the Hulk is a weak 9.2 while the X-Men 1 is a 9.8. If you are going to compare this years sale with a sale a couple of years ago of another book it should be known that the X-1 is a 9.8.

The J.I.M. is gorgeous but I'd take the AF#15 first and I'd alos take the Hulk #1. never really cared much for the early X-Men and their goofy outfits.

I'd take the Hulk because the ultra high grades are just too volatile. Today the 9.6 may consistently go for a similar price among all potential buyers but a few years from now who knows what the market will command? As the prices go higher the potential buyer pool shrinks and if someone in this pool already has a 9.2/9.4 X-Men, he/she might be interested in upgrading but it may be worth $20,000 less to that future buyer than it is to current buyers.

 

Seems to me the 9.2 market is likely to remain more steady and reliable, at least as long as the higher grades are going for such excessive premiums.
