Have you seen him recently? I haven't, and really don't know what to expect these days...

Saw him about 4 years ago......very comparable to when I saw him 25 years ago. Except he fires off a lot more bow and arrows mid-concert. He's a dude that just don't give a fukk. And will still take every solo he can. Not to be missed.

Live shows I have attended. Putting the memory to test.

Steve Miller Band (who hasnt?) Was at the Zoo amphitheater here in OKC. I remember this girl dancing in front of me. Couldn't keep my eyes off her. Mesmerizing. My friend kept pushing me to go talk to her. I wussed out. I kick myself to this day.

Crosby Still and Nash (no Young)

Heart (Acoustic Dreamboat Annie....I swooned)

Jethro Tull (Great show....not Heavy metal)

Robert Plant (Just Robert...great show)

Journey (Raised on Radio....Glass Tiger opened)

Beck (Atari Teenage Riot opened...ears ruined. Beck was awesome)

Bush (No Doubt opened....first I had ever heard of them. Great show)

Show I loved the most was seeing David Bowie at the Dallas metroplex. Drove down for the show and drove back that night. Huge David Bowie fan and the weather was gorgeous and the girl I took with me was too. That was a great night.

Nostalgia hitting me hard tonight.

Did someone just diss the Foo's??? I saw them live a couple weeks ago and it was KILLER!!!! Best hard rock show I've seen in a long time...better then Van Halen....better than Bon Jovi.....Better than Rush....Almost better than Air Supply.

Dave Grohl is the coolest person in the universe and a freakin comedian too. Yes, I know, all these bands I mentioned are old. But so am I.

Counting Crows in a few weeks with Maroon 5. The Crows are probably my favorite live band. Adam is so disfunctional and the songs are super-heartfelt but when they need to rock, they can, better than most.

We inhabit different musical worlds, my friend...upcoming (mainstream) shows for me include Ted Nugent, Kix, and Motorhead...

The Nuge!!! \(worship\)
PS: The Air Supply was a joke...I hope everyone got that. doh\! Although in full disclosure, if Making Love Out of Nothing at All doesn't move you, you're probably already dead. For 5 years or so, Jim Steinman was the best songwriter in the world and Bat out of Hell will be buried with me. Meat Loaf was the lucky recipient of incredible songs, amazing Todd Rundgren guitar and half the E-Street band backing him up. Hell, gimme that and I'm top 10.

Don't forget Meat's HUGE voice...which (to bring it all back home) he honed in the mid-70s as part of one of Ted Nugent's marauding touring bands...

The circle of life.... (thumbs uBetter post some books.....

True story...our bass player, Jim, found himself in an elevator once with The Nuge several years ago out in California. After he got up the nerve, he turned to Ted and said: "Uh...Mr. Nugent, it's an honor to meet you...I'm a huge fan..."NUGE: "Thanks, man, I appreciate that."JIM: "...except for Damn Yankees."NUGE: (long pause) "...yeah, I get that alot..."

Lucky One by Allison Krauss and Union Station

If you have eclectic tastes but have never sampled her music I would ask you to check this video out and some of the others. I would highly recommend you check out her recent collaboration with Robert Plant. Amazing stuff. She has the voice of an angel.

Yup. I love 29 Palms. Great stuff!

This a.m. I lucked into a garage sale of 32 long boxes. As I organize and pull out what I want, I'd like to list them here and hopefully reclaim my living room.

I will need to get my scanner out of storage and hook it up tomorrow. The first set of books I'll list grades and if anyone is interested in pics, ill get them up later tomorrow.

Its been over 18 months since I last did a sale. I would prefer to ship to the US in either of these.

th_FRBSmalljpg.jpg

Anyone outside the continental US will pay exact shipping.

I will ship all packages with deliver confirmation, unless it is unavailable.

Due to my work schedule, I can only ship out on Saturday mornings. Sorry.

Paypal, mo, check, cash are accepted.

:takeit: trumps any pm/email

Returns are accepted as long as the books are received back in the same condition they were sent out. Any damages due to the postal service not attributed to my packaging are out of my hands.

If there are any questions, pm or post them in the thread.

This first batch should be listed soon.

One of my favorite shows was Counting Crows on Halloween about 5-6 years ago at the Orpheum in Boston, Adam was dressed in a pink bunny suit the whole show and must have been broiling, another bandmate was dressed as the Beefeater guy, and another was dressed as a girl I believe. Fun show!
