Is this where we provide thoughts/guesses on the medical issue you both share?

Back troubles. No guessing required.

And I'm not going to nominate the guy to the PL.

I just wonder if I should out him.

whether or not the issues are real, I would like to know that going forward should the individual wish to buy and wants to do time payments etc that for them a non refundable deposit would be required.

+1 not that I ever have any books that would require time payments etc

So, I heard back from my guy.

As expected, he backed out of the deal citing medical issues. I expected some sort of excuse and was actually betting it was going to be medical because it's impossible to prove and forces you to be sympathetic. Now you guys know me, and I'm generally a bleeding heart but I sometimes have a hard time believing someone using 'medical issues' as an excuse when

1) they post on the chat forums the entire time PMs are going unanswered

2) they finally reply after you threaten them with public exposure

BTW, I suffer from the same 'medical issues' as this person.

Thoughts?

Why don't you just sell the book and get on with your life?

Oh...because that would be too easy and make perfect sense in today's age.

You could mind your own business and get on with yours. Too easy?

thanks for the insightful advice noob

Point is, no one here can force anyone to do something they ultimately decide not to do. If someone says I'll buy your book then changes their minds, then tango sierra.

It's fine come in and "discuss" it but at the end of the day, you have the book and you're not out any cash, maybe a bit of time.

:news: That's called life...if people want to come in and whine about it, then so be it. You're wasting time crying over spilled milk when you could be out trying to market the book.

Just out the boardie who didn't complete the sale and move on. The PL is weak and has no teeth. I suspect most sellers could care less and will sell to PL people if they pay. Business is business.

I wish I could quote the magnificence of a previous response to this tripe. Suffice it to say that others don't agree with your stance on the PL. Please consider yourself barred from any sales threads that I post here. Please also don't purposefully seek me out on Ebay to buy from either.
