A bunch...around guide prices.....but well worth it as they are all usually over guide selling comics.

I just can't fathom finding anything like that in the wild here in Texas. Nice find!

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I really wanted to share. I picked this up this weekend. "The Hobbit Coloring Book," © 1969. I was able to find a couple of references to this on fan sites, but I don't know much about it, other than what's on the table of contents. It's a fan creation and there are some cool pictures inside. Old typewriter font. Thick paper stock.

Definitely NOT an antique or yard sale find but when you get a call/reply to your ads, you have to respond. This is what I walked away with. Little out of what I normally buy, but what the heck...

This is one I am keeping for me...Low grade but presents nicely...So random that seller had this, given his other collecting preferences...

I rarely stop at Garage/Yard Sales...Mostly because I like to sleep in on weekends but my wife had to be somewhere and I had some time to kill so I decided to hit a few garage/yard sales. As can be expected, there was a lot of junk.

One stop, there were a few old western comics, while out of my "wheelhouse" they were old, so I bought them.

Here they are...

Fawcett Movie Comic - Vol. 3 no. 13 (1951)

Fawcet_zpsrulqqcl6.jpg

Lone Ranger's Famous Horse: Hi-Yo Silver - No. 5 (1953)

Motion Picture Comics - Vol. 19 no. 112 (1952)

This article was inside the comic too...I guess the owner liked it

Motion Picture Comics - Vol. 19 no. 114 (1953)

ANNND the discovery of a very rare western book...I didn't know when I bought it...Just learned once I got home and looked it up...

Roy Rogers Comics Giant Edition - 1947 (only published in Canada)

I need to start going to yard sales regularly now...

Do you guys ever see comics listed in garage sale listings? I've never seen it and I browse the ads weekly.

I rarely search in garage sales specifically, I usually just type in 'comic' or 'comics' in the for sale search and garage sales that lists comics will pop up along with any other ad.

Nice looking Roy Rogers Giant. Canadian books are hard to find in this kind of condition. You should contact Stephen Lipson about this if you haven't already.
