Haven’t had much luck on craigslist in many moons.  Usually all I see is over priced 90s books or people wanting to buy collections.  So I was surprised last week to see a large quantity of comics for a reasonable price.  I inquired about the books and set up a meeting for the next day.  A 45 minute drive later and an exchange of comic books for cash and I was headed home very happy. Here are the highlights.  The marvel tales with the McFarlane covers are probably not a highlight for everyone, but I like the idea of putting a fresh coat of paint on an old story.

Purchased 28 longboxes for only $25 each in a wild collection buy experience. Nice runs of Preacher, Y the Last Man, V For Vendetta, etc among countless others. These are the highlights

My friend just messaged me saying the local pawn shop has comics that came in. He supposedly bought Moon Knight 1-38, Death of Wolverine, X-23 1-8 and a little run of...ULTIMATE FALLOUT 1-5....INCLUDING UF4!!

I have spent the last 30 minutes telling him I know he is joking. He has assured me he is not and is coming by to show me after work. I am on my way there to see what he left (he knows comics but not to the same extent as me and says there are lots more).

Fingers crossed!

Oh and for reference, the pawn shop sells comics for $1-2 each.........I don't know if that makes my friend a swindler or not but we shall see. It probably does. Pics will come!

Nice grab, the pawn shop is the real swindler!  But not astute enough to look through them.....I dumped 5 long boxes of NM bagged and boarded sets and mini series on them for $125 a longbox at a local pawnshop (it was a bulk sale at about 1/4th of retail).  My books were priced to sell (I had labels and stickers), but he kept the labels and inflated the price sticker at absurd prices on some of them - so greedy he won't be able to move them.....

The style looks appropriate but hard to tell with that header. Looks like it has been painted over. What does the seller want for it?

probably a good deal, the base is often missing (mine is different but likely I have a 70s one) but the top is a real bummer (at least it has one)

That's a cool pickup!

Different than the basic 4 sided ones.

Very nice, and it looks complete and intact.
