My first yard sale in a while. They advertised comics and Star Wars collectibles. They opened at 7:30. I got there at 7:15 with my daughter. We were the first ones there and waited patiently as the couple finished setting up. As they got closer to opening, two more guys showed up. We chatted a bit, and it was clear they were the competition. When we got the okay to go up the driveway, I went straight for the comics. Marked at $2 each, I picked out this small stack. They also had boxes of 90s Star Wars toys at $2 each. My son loves Star Wars, and my daughter pulled out armfuls of toys for her brother. I even got a bulk discount. Thundercats #1 is newsstand 1st Print. Transformers #1 is a 1st print. Transformers #8 is a 2nd print. Great morning.

Cool! Nice haul. I know nothing about the carded Star Wars figures but $2. each seems like a deal.

What did the competition get???

$2 per toy is a steal. I typically find him droids for $5 each at local shows. Deals can be found for loose lots on various apps, but I can't turn down $2 for a carded figure.

I went through the comic boxes first, so I don't know exactly what he pulled out after me. I did leave behind Alpha Flight #1, and he pulled that (I looked through the boxes again and noticed it was gone). He also pulled some Wonder Woman comics that I know nothing about. I only know he got those because he had them on the top of his small stack. I think we both left happy.

I pulled these out of a crate at the back of a used bookstore for $6 total.

usually I am clueless why people buy books but even I know these are takers and $6 well spent.

I just finished reading this entire thread over the last month or two.  Some mind blowing finds, especially the Batman #2 in very high grade, Action Comics #8, and multiple Amazing Fantasy 15s!

Kind of sad to see people who posted a lot early on slowly fade away over time.

I actually kind of forgot I had these.  My father in law gave me his old collection from the late 50s to early 60s a long time back and I kind of thumbed through it but didn’t pay much attention.  Mostly funny books as you can see, but the last pic has what I think is the Good Stuff.  I don’t know if anything before the last pic has any real value, please let me know if I’m overlooking anything.  Most are in rough shape with a few exceptions.

Amazingly he was pretty much within an issue either way of major keys on every book listed (unless you are a big Streaky the Supercat fan!).  If only he’d held on a few more months he probably would have gotten some truly amazing stuff, but oh well.  These books are in much better shape, so I guess he took better care of them when he was a little older.

Anyway, for the price of $0 I am happy!

Awsome to have your father in laws books. Looks like the kind of books my parents would have bought for me unless I had the choice then they would be the last picture…

I am probably just a little younger than him. I had a couple of those but luckily, most of mine came a year or two later.

You all are killing me with the yard sale hauls. I was really expecting yard/garage sale activity to be starting up around here this weekend, but it was a bust. I guess everyone was hung over from the opening rounds of the NCAA tourney. This is Kentucky, after all, where college basketball is the official state religion. No one has time for yard sales when Kentucky gets bounced by a 15 seed. (BWAHAHAHA. Louisville fan here. UK can suck it.)

Going to a comic show this weekend, hoping the local sales start to pick up shortly. Keep posting the great pics!

I go everywhere. A friend who also does the same is likely to make what I do child’s play today. I referred him to a sale out in nowhere and now he’s offering me first print Killing Joke or first print Dark Knight Returns as a finders fee. He bought everything he had, one long box and 2 short boxes for $200. I’m now anxiously awaiting his haul pics until he gets home lol.

I definitely don't go everywhere but I go everywhere comics are listed.  The problem is, comics are so rarely listed.

I go everywhere in terms of distance for sales promising comics. I don’t go to random sales hoping for comics. Comics are always listed and there’s multiple outlets (apps) to check and I don’t even check all of them. So there’s always an opportunity for everyone to buy comics
