50 cents each. He filled shortboxes for $60 each and came back another day to fill them for $50 each. The only comic that wasn’t 50 cents was the Spawn 1 variant which was $200. Here’s his finds from yesterday

Saw this box at an Estate Sale advertisement.  Looked like some kind of coverless Western behind the Looney Toons.
Have been having good luck with this sort of stuff so I went to check it out.   Sixty miles, roundtrip.

Was 63rd on the list to get in. Sale also had medium-level stereo and PA equipment.   Recognized one local dealer get in about 20th.

It's what I guessed it would be:

30% Coverless 
90% Funny Animal
100% Early 1950s
95% VG or lesser
100% Superhero free (was hoping against this)

It was a sixty-mile gamble, but I had to see what was in the box.

Craigslist pick up. Definitely lower to mid grade. The 147 may be the worst condition comic I now own. 3 were missing MVS. But the price was right and ASM has always been my favorite. Hardly ever find anything on craigslist anymore but there’s a few here and there.

From an Estate Sale today.  No record in the Hulk album cover.  JFK tribute album is open at the side but in the original shrink wrap.  All the "kid stuff" seemed well loved.

Is the JFK record worth anything?

I doubt it.  I might be able to get some trade $$ at the used record store up the street, maybe the $2 I paid for it.

I believe Starslayer #5 is the 2nd appearance of Groo.

It is thank you, I mention groo in my post, supposedly #4 also has some groo pages too, but cgc marks #5 as the 2nd appearance with Destroyer duck #1 being the first appearance 

I havent had time to crack them open yet.

I've got a couple copies of each floating around here. I'll have to find them today and check them out.

StarSlayer #3 is the 2nd rocketeer, and unfortunately the copy I found in the wild a long time ago has an ad cut out and so it is a permanent reader  

But quite the little run for StarSlayer  including #2 as the 1st rocketeer

Even if it is the short stories involved or included that are the goal

Went out of my normal area and into Kansas for an auction. I didn't get the "bigger" books  (Captain America 32, Brick Bradford 6 and Air Fighters v2 6 and 7) that were there, Which went to a bidder on the phone. It was kind of funny, I don't think the auctioneer had a clue what the comics were worth. But still came home with some books after the 3+ hour drive there and back.
