I think I have one that was bound upside down. I know I have a few that were cut short at the bottom, not one that was cut short at the side though. Yet again proves that inserts and covers were cut before getting the final trim. Makes one wonder how many books which CGC has deemed as trimmed covers truly are and how many are simply miscuts. hm

Received it. It's in great shape. But it has a major miswrap and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this? It has a back cover overhang that shows what looks like the edge of a cover to a completely different book. I found another CGC graded one to confirm that this was also on other 124s. Anyone wanna hazard a grade? Most of the wear on the book is from the overhang/miscut on the back. I just want to...I won't even think it...lol.

I've not been able to get any kind of response from the 'Ask CGC' people, maybe someone here knows. When CGC slabs comics with the MJ insert, do they always note it on the label, or just for certain comics?

Here's a couple examples of slabs for sale that are advertised as having the MJ insert, but the label doesn't say anything about it. I, personally own a slab that I know to be a MJ, yet there is no mention of it on the label.

I'm so confused.

I've seen covers that look like they have a little bit of a different cover on them in the past, not necessarily a ASM 124.  But it's not that uncommon on books from the 70's and earlier in my experience.  I don't know the exact details on printing to explain it, other than they're printing different books at the same time.

After some investigating on Mike's Amazing World(love that site!), I found the book it connected to: Justice League #107.

I think the design intention is for the insert to be noted on the label when present but CGC sometimes miss it, just as they occasionally miss other salient aspects and features when labelling. 

When I was collecting inserts, I would often see MJI eBay listings but on contacting the seller was advised that the book did not have it. Some sellers use previous listings to create new ones and then forget to remove the description wording that doesn't apply. It was always better to check, if there wasn't any internal photos / evidence (although I'd dive in on faith if I saw the star stamp on a BIN for fear that someone else might snag it while I was querying!).
