I've got one of those too (along with a non-MJs). That's the best cover in the Mobius/Fear run IMO.

That poor rat is next? Isn't that tantamount to cannibalism???

Probably. After scoffing Roland, he's going to paint the town red.

I'm down to just 2 in my Amazing Spidey MJI collection. Just picked up #160, 164, 167. All I need is #174 and unfortunately #339(found out the copy I had was not legit...it was the one bound upside down. I looked closer and found extra staple holes--- :censored:).

That's a drag. Still a terrific achievement though TM. Big party when the last two turn up, OK?

I'll be one step closer if the #174 I just bought and is out for delivery has the insert. There was a shadow in the pic that looked like the telltale insert lower staple location, I'll let you all know how that goes. Then after I find #339...

I posted this in the Double Cover Thread but I guess it might be better suited for this thread, I have a ASM #100 that says Mark Jewelers Insert on the CGC label but it actually has the National Diamond Insert instead.  Just curious what was the first ASM Issue with the insert?  hm

Congrats.  It seems like it gets exponentially harder when you get down to just one or two left to complete the run.

Here's one of those rare examples of a 48-page giant with the Mark Jeweler's insert.   Loved the stories in this one too.  I recall buying this issue (not the jeweler variant) right off the shelf of my local pharmacy.   I was kind of bummed out when Batman Family started printing all new stories because I looked forward to seeing what classic reprint that they would include in the next issue.   There were some great stories reprinted in the earlier issues of Batman Family

I have a DC Comics Presents #26 with the insert, considering that the 16 page New Teen Titans preview is in that book, I was surprised when I found it.

Wow... great observation on the DCCP 26.  As near as I can tell, that's the only DC comic book cover dated October 1980 with the Teen Titans preview.  So you have a 64-page comic book there with the insert added on top of that.  The only other DC comic book I can think of like that is Action Comics 509 dated July 1980 with the 16-page Radio Shack insert (so it too as 64 pages with the jeweler insert...  thus making it a pretty thick comic book).

In the titles of Batman, Detective, Superman, Action and Justice League of American, I'm now only missing 8 jeweler inserts as follows:

Batman 245, 247, 390

Detective 470, 548

Superman 292

Action Comics 579

Justice League 107

And of those eight, I only know for sure that Batman 247, Superman 292, and JLA 107 exist (someone snagged them before me, dagnabbit).  If I manage to find the Superman 292, Action 579, or JLA 107, I will have reached the elusive goal of obtaining every single jeweler variant in the run (I'm not sure anyone has ever done that in a long-standing run of DC comics).  To give some idea of rarity, I've had to offer $100 or more as a bounty for the ones I'm missing even though most of them would only sell for roughly $20 to $30 on auction.   But I would gladly pay that bounty to save myself the time of searching for them.   If anyone comes across any on this list, please do not hesitate to contact me via private message.

Any chance it has a mji?  Just by looking at the staples positions ?

A two staple marvel, pun intended!
