Make sure you scan your copy and join in the fun!

3,633 the descent continues.

What am I missing?

Sorry I edited my post to be more descriptive. The Batman 227 auctioned just now on comiclink hammered for $3,633 which I believe to be a record low at open auction.

on comiclink? why doesn't the book show up when you search by DC?

Well, it didn't take very long for CL to take down all their ended auctions. Did anyone catch what the Bats 227 9.2 and Bats 222 9.4 went for?

they aren't taken down, they're at the end. $852 and $800 respectively.

The 9.2 went for more than the 9.4?

I might even call that cough cough well bought :o if you can call 3600 for a BA book well bought. But in the context of the other copies and as I said this copy looked really sharp, it seems like well bought may be.

Here's a scan for those that didn't see it.

I was really tempted on the 222, still need a copy and that one was very well centered with WP, it went for 100 less than the Don Rosa at Heritage on the weekend and I thought it to be the superior copy, still a bit of a hike as they were selling for 600 until recently.

+1.. If the book had perfect centering, it would have sold for more.

I know its a day early (due to work restrictions, and a Blackhawks game, I won't be able to post on 2/27), but I agree with the wrap sentiment...try this one for comparison.

And if you're going to have a party, you should have your friends there too...

There are price points for bronze books which you would be wise to stay away from as none of these mainstream books are truly rare enough to stay at nosebleed levels. The demand for many of these books will always be there but as the census rises those prices can't be sustained.

And then you bring pressing into the equation and it gets really crazy.

Very nice!

Here's my 2/27 tribute.

:screwy: Only a loser would hoard multiple copies of this book.

(There would be six here, but the other two copies are at my office.)

Happy 2/27!
