This one just popped up on eBay. Really nice raw copy, but it's not cheap though.

Ok, I have to ask, did one of us 227 freaks step up and nab this one? hm

I doubt anyone here would spend almost $300 on a F/VF copy w/ C/OW pages. hm

That is what CR/OW looks like?

I have never cracked open any of my CR/OW slabs, and the page quality on OO books up here in the arid and cool north are off-white/white at the worst.

Well, it wasn't me that nabbed this book, but I was thinking of making him an offer. I don't really need another copy, but that Haganland 9.2 with the white pages is very tempting.

actually looks like a 8.5, but yes, the pages are cream to OW for a bronze age book.

Look at the photos again. Way too many spine ticks and a big (pressable) crease on the LRBC. Maybe 7.5 in hand?

Jon, any raw 9.2/9.4's with white pages and centered? :baiting: I sound like a rabid dog.

For Bronze books (and most all Silver) the first to pay for a single top census book is the first to lose big. The TC 227 9.8 is not going to finish anywhere near 10K. Patience is a collector's best friend.

I couldn't agree more with you. What would you guess the hammer price to be? 5,6 or 7K?

9.8? check

white pages? check

perfect wrap? no, but it is a nice looking book

That's about as close to a perfect as you can get, that wrap does'nt bother me. (shrug)

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have this book, but a perfect wrap would be the trifecta. (thumbs u

Best copy I've seen yet. Can't wait to put my tracker bid in just so I can say that I tried :D

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm still trying to pay off that 9.4 I bought.........
