Let the Five Ghosts watch BEGIN!

For some folks, that's about 2 years too late.... :)

Haha ! I noticed the listings are sparse on ebay. This listing seems like a steal. How cheap will this look a week from now ?

No doubt. I have been steadily stocking up since day one. Frank is the man!

Check out Solar [Dynamite] and Black Market [boom] if any of you haven't yet.

Midtown West was rammed this morning with people there to pick up the free Tec #27 reprint from DC. Not sure if a free book can be counted as 'heating up', but man, it was a frenzy!

My LCS gave them away w a Batman anything purchase. A batman mask for $25 and a Batman cape for $75 in purchases. But most wanted that Detective 27 reprint and bought the cheapest back issue possible.

I had my sub guy grab me a 9.8.

It will look nice next to my 1984 Oreo Tec 27 reprint 9.8.

I just like to pretend they are "real", haha.

5 Ghosts ECCC #1 had a 200 print run.

SDCC #1 had a 50 print run.

Not sure about the Phantom #1.

You would have to ask Larry but my guess would be 1000 of each of the Phantom covers. I have 1 set of those. Super cool looking imo.

Can we start a separate "First Appearance Debate" thread

To get back on topic... The Strain #1 and 2 just keep going up! Is there a ceiling on those books? How good is the show? Havent seen any episodes yet.

Have not seen the show - a coworker recently told me (he has no idea I read comics, or that this is a comic property) that the show was 'awful.' No one else with us had ever heard of it, so... time will tell. If it reaches a mainstream audience, then no, there probably is not much of a ceiling.

The prices right now are most likely just speculators selling to speculators.

Someone didn't like it?! Sell! Sell! :ohnoez:

Of course, there is this;

I'm glad you managed to decipher my subtle message! I was afraid that, by not saying that at all, someone would have missed it!

They are in the $25-50 rang right now...

Am I wrong in thinking thats good considering you pay $0 for the comic?

I'm holding onto mine until the movie. My 7 yr old is already hinting that he wants to be Star Lord for Halloween. I'm thinking this characters popularity will soar after the movie, and drive prices of some books up.
