This book has been in my personal collection for over ten years. Stored upright in a long box and NEVER opened or touched by human hands since the day it was originally placed in mylar by the owner of the shop where it was purchased. Never read. This book was only ever taken out of its mylar for this photo shoot and is securely stored away now just dying to be CGC graded. I have been collecting comics for twenty five years and I am very well versed in grading comics having purchased hundreds if not thousands over the years. I know the stringent qualifications of CGC grading and would be very hesitant to call a book something that it is not. With that said, if this book isn't 9.8 - 10 I don't know what is. Absolutely flawless from spine to edges, front to back. Beautiful glossy cover. Will be packed with the utmost care and caution. Ad this gem to your collection before the value goes through the roof. These are the type of people that never look at the interior of the book when grading.

could be worse, could have made up number of existing copies. Hell could have joined a forum, created an account then after a few years compiled a list of rare silver age or bronze books after all he had purchased all the books on his list.

Is this any worse than trying to pimp out/misrepresent a non-first appearance by claiming the book is the first appearance by their creators? I don't think so. While there are never any guarantees based on pics, I see nothing that would obviously keep this book from being a 9.8.

More so, 3 people paid $36 each for this plagiaristic mess. What dafuq ?????

 

TMNT 2 is not in the public domain, it looks like a group of sketchy characters got together and had a no name artist produce cover art...and put his no name signature on it.

 

They then had a print shop reprint the interior of TMNT 2, with a new cover, in an attempt to circumvent copyright issues.

 

The cover swipe out was done to generate some quick cash, nothing more.

 

It is essentially a bootlegged book, put out by a few hacks who decided to produce the book under the guise of a "fan site" i.e. an attempt at a tribute via an untraceable source.

 

All done to to squeeze money out of buyers who lack common sense.

 

IMHO, the book isn't worth the paper it has been printed on and it should result in a copyright infringement lawsuit.
