Okay, but if there's a sudden spike in price and sales, someone might be pushing it right now. Typically previously hot books that have since fizzled do retain some of the heat compared to another book that was never hot, but they settle lower than when they were hot. Just speaking in general terms. It's not (it seems) like this issue has a first appearance of a character that insiders know is going to be appearing on film, and it's going to explode when that's revealed, right?

It was released during the long Deadpool craze.  On top of coming out shortly after the hot previous ASM issues (like those Campbell black cat covers), so there were a ton of eyes on the book.  

But to supplement your point, it has no real relevance.

Again spec site pushing it I've sold at least a dozen copies last couple of years. They don't have data to support a suge it's just a good selling book consistently.

Got to go to a small comic show this weekend. It was fun. Bought 200+ books from about 6 or 7 dealers. 

A couple I couldn't buy from because their books were randomly prices and some were not even priced
I don't have time for that. (Its a time thing for me especially when I am traveling awhile to get there.)

I saw an Alf 48 in the wild for the first time ever. Now it was Fine copy and they wanted $225 for it, but 
at least I saw a copy. 

More and more product is coming out from new dealers and I love it. Bought 24 books from a buy who 
had them as 12 for $10. He was tickled pink to sell them telling me they were just sitting in his house. 

Bought several copies Essential Sandman for under $1 each. Those will pay off later. Bought some
Sandman issues fairly cheap.

Actually saw 3 dealers with a good supply of slabs for first time maybe 10 each dealer or so. 
Stopped by the local shops and bought a good 100 books or more. Bought some supplies from them
too because boards and bags are getting scarce in my area from supply problems. 

I continue to buy all Midnight Sun stuff cheap. Marvel horror should see a good return soon. 
Its still easily found for $1 to $3. What if books were harder to find this time as I looked for some
more What IF 1s and didnt see any. Still bought more IM 194 cheap. I will continue to stockpile this book. 
GR issues from V2 between like 40 and 80 are really hard to find now I buy them at reasonable price
everytime.

Didn't see any Once and Future and or SIKT which I was hoping to snag a trade on for Christmas presents. 
I was shocked to see what some of those IDW Gijoe issues are selling for now. 

By the time I left 45 min into the show it was really busy for small show of maybe 12 dealers. Shows the hobby
is healthy currently.

Im gonna pick up a couple Hulk #1's. Not sure which covers yet. With Cates writing, Im sure there will be some sparks early at least. I went to the Cates event here in Dallas. He couldn't say what was going to happen, but said he has some major things planned for Hulk. His comment was that most fans are gonna be angry after reading each issue (not sure what that means exactly).

Haha, I don't think he has to say that. It will happen anyway.

Seriously though, he meant that he is going to shake things up. I get the feeling he wants fans to go into a rage and turn green when reading his Hulk issues. He said it will be a good thing though. He didn't give any specifics about what he is going to do. He likes to be vague.

Maybe it's too obvious, but I grabbed a couple of the Momoko covers. I actually really like the Momoko Hulk cover, I felt like it has the potential to be one of those classic covers:

Generally speaking a classic cover sells itself.   This one looks like the artist came off binge reading all 79 issues of Sandman, and a bottle of vermouth.   Still cool cover mind you (thumbsu

Hopefully Marvel cancelled payment on this before it was too late. The Hulk cover looks like a masterpiece compared to it:
