Comic book collecting with a foreign variant focus 20 20

Quick question for the knowledgeable peeps in this thread...

I have a small stack of these French editions, and going through them just now I noticed 2 of them had blank interior covers.  The rest had ads for G.I. Joe, etc..

Wondering if all copies are like this....

Sorry i cant know for sure,what i can tell you is that era was wild,héritage comics changed many aspect without many standard.they made jumbo comics using actual comics and glued them together with a new jacket.the standards was always changing,so i cant tell you if its an exception or not.saw a few like this myself.sorry i dont have a définitive answer. Hope it helped a bit

I think that only the rebound editions (yours looks to be two books) have blank interiors on the new cover wrap.  I have a couple "multi-book" copies that have the same blank interiors.

I believe the Avengers books I have contain 2 issues each, but have ads.

I used to be a Byrne completionist, so I would grab these from the dollar bins at local cons whenever I’d see them

This is the only other one that has blank interior covers....

Perhaps "Les Vengeurs" wasn't as popular as Spider-man and Heritage decided to print it strictly as a two-book edition.  Spider-man, being popular, would have been printed as singles, and then after returned copies were processed, re-released in the double format?  The blank interior ones seem to be an attempt to sell unsold inventory.

I picked up some comics that all just came out of a barn in the UK.

Rip Kirby is 1950, Guy Fawks 1954, Tarzan 1951

I love how old and primitive these 3 are.  Printed on very low grade material.

1945 1946.  Wow.... were these printed during WWII in the UK?  Maybe that's why the paper quality is so low.

All late 40s and early 50s.

Somehow that US "Funny Animal" comic made it over to the UK barn (it's got a story to tell)

Also of note.... the 2 comics in the lower left are a huge size compared to the others.

Amazing sequence of Marvel Family characters. I need to add a few Cap Marvel comics to my collection, as I don't have any, even from my own country!
