The "TRUTH" about CAF

OK, Bill Cox told me to post these responses, because he is not a forum member:

 

"The "Australian" was sent a $50 payment by me on August 23, 2012 as means of a refund for their premium services. Not prorated, a full refund. A "refund" via Paypal was not possible because of the length of time that had passed since the premium payment was made. The "Australian" should review their accounting practices.

 

Regarding the other gentleman that was posting such pornographic images that I finally had to remove them from the site. I refunded 4 years of their premium payments as well as several months of banner advertising that they had done almost 2 years prior to shutting down their account.

 

When we are forced to remove member accounts on CAF - and these two instances are the only time that has had to happen - and the person was also a paid member, we always return those payments in full, and in the case of the pornographer, even more than we should.

Congratulations, genius. You've managed to take a subject about which most people here that do not venture into the Comic Art subforum had no knowledge, and not only alerted them to the fact that there are shenanigans and possibly criminal activities going at CAF, but ALSO that you're responsible for many of them!

 

 

Brilliant!

 

 

Also, and I realise this is going to fall on deaf ears, but when one has a legitimate beef with someone else/a group/a Website, success in winning people to one's side generally includes providing specific facts, calmly and in at least something approaching proper grammar. This will establish one as an individual who has put some thought into the issue and who has a cogent and defensible problem.

 

When one talks about generic wrongs done to them by secret cabals of inner circle people out to cause problems for this poor person who is a pure as the driven snow...well, that's going to make that person look not only like a bumbling fool, but also likely guilty of whatever legitimate reasons said person was kicked out of the site in question.

 

So, to wit; start over. Bring your A game and be prepared to provide specifics and details, and then maybe someone will listen to you. Or don't, and have the Forum think of you as a person lacking ethics, morals, intelligence and a case.

Hi my name is Pete, and I have been bullied since joining CAF myself. And I am here to tell my story!

 

So I like posted my art one day, and this guy left a comment, and it was all like "hey nice art, congrats!"

 

I was like, WTF? who are you? Why you being so mean? No, I don't do that with horses!

 

Then there was this other time, when I listed something for sale. And someone email'd me, and said... Hey, nice art! Do you think you could take like $50 off the price!

 

I was like, yo dawg! why you be steppin' to my art? I think that's perfectly reasonable! we have a deal! He paid me, I shipped it to him, and that was that!

 

Lastly, I was shopping for art this one time on CAF... And I saw something I wanted being sold by another collector. I email'd him.. asked him if he would throw in free shipping.

 

He kicked me in the kidneys, called my mother a worker of the night, and then said "sure free shipping? no problem!" I paid him, and now I own another cool page!

 

All true stories, also, for the record, this post has more "Facts" and "Truth" in it than any post our illustrious Aussie buddie has given us thus far.

Not finding my required and duly earned fill of happiness through the pain of others during my daily regimen of crushing souls, purchasing and then dismantling several generations old family businesses just to watch their children cry, switching the labels on all the peppermint and spearmint gum at my local 7-11, turning cuddly baby harp seals onto the pleasures of a fine cigar, and tricking senior citizens into consuming muffins that are tragically low in fiber, I realize now that the only way to truly fulfill my life's mission of causing pain, discomfort and a slight to moderate rash in others is to become a CAF bully.

 

It is in the control of CAF, and the bullying of the unknowing, Kardashian worshiping, sheep within shall my true destiny be fulfilled and the burning be sated.

 

I take your silence as acceptance of my request.

I will tell everyone that after that post, I did not receive a Illuminati Xpress package with my "CAF Evil Overlord Starter Kit". Which did not include a long distance baby-candy grabber, a primer on how to "shake down" people for their art, and a book called "The Low Self Esteem of Comic Collectors and how to use it to your advantage" written by Malvin

 

and the last thing that was not in this package was "Becoming Scrooge McDuck rich, the Bill Cox way, written by Bill Cox"
