Just sent in two more via Walkthrough: Amazing Spidey #106 double cover(one of my favorite books of all time) and Captain Marvel #26 double cover. Both in similar condition as the two older ASMs I just sent. It will be interesting to see if I get them back any faster. I'll keep y'all updated. The #106 got an 8.0(7.5, 8.0) WHITE pages and the Captain Marvel #26 got a 9.4 WHITE pages!!! A little confused on that one, the comments say 9.4 on both interior and exterior, but the grader notes say 9.4 interior, 9.2 exterior. Could the grader have said 9.2 then it got upgraded when it went through QC? Super stoked on these two, either way! The CM #26 will be going up for sale when I get it back(my first CGC "flip"). The spine bends on the 106 were caused by a very inattentive eBay seller who literally threw the book into a bubble envelope and hoped for the best. They were so bad they barely pressed out. Still, I will take that 8.0! \ 9.4, 9.4 with WHITE pages! So the grade must have been upgraded in QC. Now I've found out they are numerous, but still possibly one of a kind per issue...maybe even per title(although I think there are at least two Iron Man #55s out there...that issue is crazy for double covers)? That should be a labelling mistake as ASM #100 has a NDS insert. The top of the insert is blue, so if you can see a blue line along the centre of of the top of your slabbed copy, you'll know they've messed up. Oh yeah, I forgot about #315 (I'm not quite awake yet). There were two on eBay just recently(I know that because I tried to talk the seller down from $2500 for a crappy raw copy before I won the 281 at auction for less than $500!). It's got the missing torn off corner piece that I've often seen on inner covers(anyone know if this was a bindery thing?). The piece has been replaced. So how would CGC grade this? Obviously the outer cover would be the higher grade, but how can CGC classify it as "7.5 restored grade" when I could just remove the inner cover and the book would be an unrestored 7.5 single cover? Regardless, I think it would be better to remove the piece and try to go for a blue label. Oh, and it had sold at auction for $300, but I guess the winner didn't pay. Then after the seller relisted it I got it for less than $200.
