Was a member of the fan club, all of that good stuff. Used to have a ball back on the old message boards on his site. The truth is that without Randy Bowen, we wouldn't have any of the statues we have today. There were pieces here and there over the years, but he is the one that pioneered the format, created innovations like "the mini-bust" (which was a cottage industry unto itself for many years), and gave so much to the hobby. I eventually sold off my Bowen stuff as I downsized my collection, but the itch to get back into it is always there. In fact, I had bids in on two statues this morning that I just barely missed out on. I'd love to have the cases full of them again, but it ain't cheap! I have about a dozen mini busts and this mini statue. As far as I am concerned, he is the Gold Standard of Superhero statues/busts. I bought this through Bowen's website, as he was winding down his shop (I believe it was divorce related). As I looked at the shop, I asked if he had any of these Daredevil mini statues left, and he replied he had one left, and it is mine if I want it. I said sure, paid for it. It came in the mail #2 of 4000. ADAMANTIUM, The Man Without Beer, B2D327 and 4 others

And your story reminds me of another great thing about those days: you could email, or call Bowen Designs, and you'd likely get Heather or another employee, but it's just as likely you'd get a response directly from Randy and Rocky themselves. It was a very hands on, Mom and Pop type of vibe. Beautiful stuff.

Pre-ordered in Jan 2019 and paid off over a year ago. I had three birthdays since ordering this guy. Worth the wait! My only criticism is I would have personally enjoyed the ‘90’s style red undies on the outside. Did not order the ‘exclusive’ because it was not the Hank that I love! Left eye lights up but I don’t have batteries yet Reveal hidden contents Straight badass!!! Iconic1s

Saw this in their 12 days of Sideshow reveal and am pretty torn. I really wanted someone to do a 3d version of the comic cover, and I think they did a good job, but I think it just doesn't work. Generally I don't like the "balled up jumping figure" statues unless they are anchored by something else (e.g., the Wolverine versus Hulk statue). I think this might work better as a maquete with the mutant taking the place of the Hulk in the Wolverine piece. More interested in the XM DK + Carrie Kelley, though all we've seen (I think) so far is this:
rexinnih
Would also love a comic cover version of Dark Knight Returns but that one is pretty tempting.

Really want to like it, especially for the price, but can't. Someone on another forum said it looked like he was sliding down a shard of ice. I agree, and can't unsee. Popular Post wombat
Close enough to a statue. This one has been on my list for a while. MultiSig Mike
I recently commissioned an artist to repaint this Classic Catwoman Statue. It's from the WB Studio Store (1999) and she stands about 12" tall. I wanted it to be more Jim Balent style so I asked them to use 90's purple and also touch up the color of the face. We also decided to make "heels" as the original had her not wearing shoes. What are your thoughts? The softer on the upper frontal looks not as poignant. I like that better, may just be the pictures, I'm not sure.....
Cushing Fan
Some statues from my collection that I set up on my computer desk - Grand Moff Tarkin is from Gentle Giant, Baron Frankenstein is a statue kit that a friend built and painted for me as a wedding gift 20 years ago, busts of Baron Frankenstein and Dracula were a convention buy from 1996, Hulk was a giveaway from a NY Jets game I attended - and Dr. Loomis is a figure not a statue.
