marvelcollector
So the Easter Egg where Sue is looking at the display: 23.21.190.125 Routes you here. Latveria ------------------ Latveria is a fictional nation in the Marvel Comics Universe. It is depicted within the storylines of Marvel's comic titles as an isolated European country ruled by the fictional super-villain Doctor Doom, supposedly located in the Banat region. It is surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains, and also borders Symkaria (home of Silver Sable) to the south. Its capital is Doomstadt. ------------------ So could this be more than just Doctor Doom? Ah, so he'll be a blogger from Latveria. That makes it so much better. And I was afraid they were going to totally screw up the source material. Marvelfangirl
I must say the trailer has me intrigued I get more of a sci-fi vibe from the trailer than superhero (I think that's a good idea IMO) I want to see a full trailer before I decide to see it
Prince Namor
My official position on this is... the trailer didn't make me NOT want to see it. I am of the opposite opinion. +1 if you mean you WANT to see it. Chuck, did you hear the writer and director talking about their interpretation of the team? I was curious to know what you thought and if they had captured the essence of the FF I tried, but I found myself disinterested almost immediately. The trailer on it's own was ok. I get the idea that they'll have the spirit of the idea there.. so I plan on seeing it, and judging it based upon it's entertainment value. The minute I hear Radioactive by Imagine Dragons though, I'm out of there.
Sauce Dog
I actually really like the idea that the origin would be modified to be a trip to the negative zone. Far more interesting than a space flight.

Chris_Skeleton
Anyone else notice Dr. Storm at the experiment? Or the building with Grimm Salvage on it?| Also, a quick read of the Ultimate Fantastic Four entry on Wikipedia matches up to this pretty well. Bosco685
FANTASTIC FOUR: Fantastic or doomed? 4 takeaways from the first (darker) teaser trailer. -------------------- Going in a darker direction seems a daring (though not unwelcome) bet. And the aesthetic is more sci-fi — one that doesn't lean overly heavily on its comic-book origins. -------------------- That's what caught my attention with the teaser. -------------------- This movie will lean heavily on special effects, naturally, which makes the next trailer so important. The Internet hasn't exploded upon the arrival of this trailer. Next time, we need to see some full-blown powers. -------------------- 1.8 MM to 6.4 MM hits in only one night? That's a lot of attention for just a teaser trailer.
Bosco685
About the N-Zone reference... NEWSARAMA: 10 things worth noting -------------------- Negative Zone According to writer Simon Kinberg, the idea of the Fantasic Four traveling to "another dimension" was "part of our earliest conversations." This confirms the evident idea that the machine prominently featured in the trailer is some kind of teleportation device. But, when asked directly whether this other dimension was the Negative Zone, Kinberg and Trank refused to confirm or deny. Home to many of the FF's major baddies, including Blastaar and Annihilus, the hostile environment of the Negative Zone is one of the core aspects of FF lore. There's also the fact that a portal to the Negative Zone is exactly what granted the Ultimate Fantastic Four their powers, a comic cited by Kinberg and Trank as a major influence. --------------------
