I agree in 8.0 and higher they are very hard to locate (not to many people want to sell a book that is sure thing financially). Maybe the profit will be better having various copies of AF15 versus 1 single 8.5/8.0 and a 7.0...but I am not sure. If it was me I would rather own a 8.5/8.0 and a 7.0.

Owning a 8.0 or higher takes it to a whole new level!! And if you are to do this better right now than in a few years.

Curious to see what this 7.0 will sell for. Be nice if the front cover had a better scan. I cant even put in an offer since its been counter offfered everytime i checked on it

The back cover photo makes the book look pretty solid. But it looks like the front cover pic was shot in the dark by candlelight. Seems like an odd or calculated choice.

At $60k with front cover fuzzy? Wow

Will this go higher than $60,000? My goodness, is this the new normal or an outlier? Is this because Spiderman is in the Civil War movie? I have to admit the comic looks really nice so maybe an upgrade will happen.

Can you believe I bought it originally in 1977 at SDCC for $165?

I missing something from the photos. That book looks very under graded.

Sure does and because you only paid $165 for it plus the grading fees to have it currently slabbed, it wouldn't hurt to possibly see if it can get a grade bump. But, it's up to you.

I see quite a few very thin color breaking creases on the cover. maybe several big diagonal ones but its really hard to see in this pic.

Gratz on picking up this gem for $165 in 1977. So glad you held onto it and are aware of its true value.

Here's my 4.0. I really think mine is undergraded too (although it has a faint stain at the bottom which I've been told is the reason it graded low). When Matt N pressed mine he told me the page quality was bright & outstanding so I thought I would get "White" pages, and I didn't get that either. I've seen many 4.0s that don't even come close to these 2.
