Popular Post Raze
I finally got a BIG book today! This is by far the most Ive spent on a single book. A little story about this book...I worked a side job for 3 months on Saturdays and was saving half for a family trip and half for my C2E2 trip in December and built up around $1200 for C2E2 not a lot but its around what I normally take. But I bought a few books and this is one of them, now Im down to $320 and the side work has dried up. Im happy to have this book dont get me wrong but I love C2E2 and Chicago in general and look forward to it every year. I guess I won't have to look for a copy when Im at C2E2! Also I need One more issue of Shock for the run (8) should I spend the C2E2 money and knock it out and hope the side work comes back??? conan09279, grendelbo, Larryw7 and 10 others

Glad you finally scored a copy before they stopped being merely difficult and became impossible. For what it's worth, I spent more than 2x on my copy than my next most expensive book. Plus tou could find it under finished sales) it ended on a Tuesday at 1pm. I think thats why I won it, maybe not. The biggest buy I ever had was 8 books for $700. (took awhile to dig this out) I have a Wally Wood signature that I found in a low grade Weird Science 19 that was bought on ebay 2011/12 maybe? There were only front and back cover pics with no interior pics. At that time low grade / reader ECs could be had for low $$. When I received and opened the book, my first impression was that a past owner had written their name on the first page until I took a closer look. Then I looked through the rest of the book! Also has a Joe Orlando and Al Williamson sig. All signed on the pages of their stories. The seller hadn't listed the sigs in the auction and when I asked him about it he said he was unaware that they were in there! So, he wasn't the person that got the sigs. He also told me he was 90% sure that he had bought the book in the mid 80s from Golden Age Express that was in the same building as Big Apple Comics in NYC. I posted this on the Facebook EC Fan Addict page a few years ago, so if there are members here you may remember this. Book is beat but complete with detached cover. Sorry for the crappy phone pics... Wow, what a find! I got a similar deal. I bought this one from Ricksneatstuff right here on the boards. He noted the taped spine and the trim but there was no mention of the writing inside.
