James Cameron's Avatar 2 delayed again; Won't open in 2017 as planned

Last month, James Cameron said he was targeting a Christmas 2017 release for his first of three planned AVATAR sequels, but now The Wrap has heard it won't be ready in time for next year's holiday season, and has been delayed once again. Fox declined to comment on the delay, although it has been confirmed by individuals with knowledge of the situation. An updated release date hasn't been announced yet.

While the studio never officially set the follow-up to hit theaters Christmas 2017, the delay may have something to do with STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII's new release date. However, Cameron is also a bit of a perfectionist, and it's obvious that he doesn't want to rush the sequels.

After experiencing so many James Cameron movies, this is probably going to be more spectacular than people expect.

Kevin Smith Reveals DC Multiverse Talk Cut From Dawn Of The Justice League Special

“We saw Ezra Miller, who’s playing movie Flash,” said Smith. “And we had shot for those that follow this sort of thing…you know, I’m a big f***ing Flash fan, huge Flash fan… I’ve been talking about like why are they f***ing… we talked about it on the show… why the f*** would you create a new Flash in the movies, with all apologies to Ezra Miller who’s a great actor, but like you’ve got a Flash audience and Grant is f***ing phenomenal and stuff.”

Smith continued, “And we did a piece where we talked about, I don’t know how much I’m supposed to say because they cut it out, and I was kind of bummed they cut it out. But the idea of, ‘Hey man, DC is known for nothing if not a multiverse,’ so at which point I was like, ‘Could they f***ing crossover?’ And he was like, ‘Ahhhhh.’ So doors are being left open and stuff like that for… think about this, you can have Ezra Miller be The Flash and you could also have Grant be The Flash, because there’s a multiverse at work.”

:o:o:o

At 18:10 he talks about the 'Infinite Earths' chat with Geoff Johns that was cut out of the special purposely.

You are correct.

'Fantastic Four 2' Is Officially Doomed

Although the comment from Wiseau sounds more like a desire. Not that a discussion with Fox is taking place.

Tommy Wiseau Wants To Direct The Fantastic Four Sequel, Because Of Course

I don't see anything new about X-Men/Fantastic Four since July/August. But I'll assume that is killed as well.

Do we really need 10 Fast and Furious movies? That is one franchise that just dumbfounds me how it continues to rake in cash. The first one was just ok. I stopped watching after two. lol

I was bored with 1-4. Then I saw Fast Five.

Fast Five is a modern day Ocean's 11 mixed with an action movie. I loved every second of it. After that I went back and watched 1-4 so I could get the full story.

Basically, you watch them in this order: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 3, 7, 8

If you only watch one of them though, take a look at Fast Five. There are many "Holy Ess" moments in it.

I love the Fast films and they are actually films that I look at and make the most sense to me why they are successful.

It's throwback action movies that you can see where the money is spent on screen that represent a lot of demographics and isn't based on nerd spoon, yet in many way out superheroe superhero movies (that I love).

One was okay to me, I wasn't too into the rest until Tokyo Drift got my attention, and the last 3 are just great action movies, almost a full blown reboot.

Just a over the top good time IMHO.

everything can change in a month when BvS comes out. according to Geoff Wonder Woman is near the end of filming and their going to start with Justice League soon. so i can see them move WW up to March and JL to June or July and maybe they finally annouce the batman movie and MOS2.
