If you drop off the resume looking like some who will flake on them they will not give you a call back. Get a hair cut - wear a polo and jeans - make a good impression. I got a haircut not too long ago and I show up with a hoodie and black pants when I apply. Hoodie=fail... Haircut/combed and clean shaven Shirt and tie. If you really want a job try applying at gas stations nearby. They always seem to be hiring. I know it isn't the most exciting job but it's a start. Also when you apply for a job try dressing up like you're going on a date with your mother. Dress pants, polished shoes, collared shirt, nice jacket. And no hat.
