For anyone interested in putting some context into the apparent increase in quality control issues, Valiantman just posted a thread about "math and the CGC census". 

I did a quick back of the envelope calculation and it appears, if the numbers are correct, CGC is currently slabbing approximately 3,400 slabs per day!  Given that magnitude, it's no wonder quality control may be suffering.

honestly 3400 isnt an absurd number.

PSA graded 700k cards last month, one day they did 40k 

I know comics are bigger, but still 3400 is decent but not insane.

How many graders are there, and how many hours in a CGC work day?

I’d be surprised if they’re even opening the books anymore aside to check PQ

Not enough  

But they probably need more warehouse work or encapsulation to be honest.

Too bad CGC doesn't do the same as PSA and offer a DNA service.
