The Disney set is a two volume set of all the Donald Duck Barks one shots. Also got Scrooge 1-40 in two volumes from a local guy that bought them from Cherokee and had them bound. The 9 has a $6. pencil price inside the cover! I love bound volumes! Are those the Paul Terry Mighty Mouse issues? I like the Robot Cover on issue 38. Oddly enough your bound volume is probably equivalent to the 384 page Mighty Mouse giant issue in red. I think it contains MM 42 and 43 plus a few others. Moondog Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Hi Gary: Yeah, that is one of my favorite top 5 books reguardless of value. I was going thru a bad time but HAD to have it. It's in my collection for good. I've had several PMs wanting to buy it but it ain't going nowhere. I hate regrets in selling stuff. I sold a Great Comics #3 years ago and have regretted it ever since. I sold my Supe #1 and a bunch of heavy books years ago but it was to buy a house so not real sad. Besides, you can get a Supe #1 but not a book like this with the contents it has. Side note, I had it signed at bottom the the first page by Al Feldstein a couple years ago. I guess you guys might call that defaced but I love it everytime I open it! Defacing a cover with a huge, sloppy Sharpie autograph is not something I would ever do. You almost gave that book away...but it WAS pretty low grade...Yeah, scored the Rom Adv 49 for $25 also...and a Wartime Romances 17 (my grail) and Cinderella Love 15 (both from a fellow boardie that met me at the show. I also bought a bunch of very inexpensive early Jimmy Olson's and Lois Lane's from the toy dealer (I think it was him, can't remember his name right now)..it was a good show. History may not repeat itself, but we'll still have fun this year.... (thumbs u PS-I never bring a guide to a show, cause every dealer has one that I can wave in their faces... Bring the JOJO...I've got $50 burning a hole in my pocket that you can have... That's $50...50 Big Ones...50 smackaroos...50 dineros...500 dimes...5000 pennies... I remeber a comic shop by me had probably 30 framed Jack Kirby covers up on their walls for $150. each I stupidly didn't buy any... This was back in the late '70's. It's a pretty nice copy that I got from Moondog when he first got on ebay. Probably the most I ever spent for a comic up to that time. I laugh at the price now but then it was a lot of money for me.What make it even more special it has Crypt #20 (#1), VOH #12 (#1), HOF #15 (#1) and WS #13 (#2) contents! I will try and take a better shot of it next time I have it in hand. It's a pretty amazing copy of a very rare piece! You're right to want to keep it. Cragstan, Japan 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner removable hard top, battery operated, car with original box. Early "remote control" car. Goes forward and back and steers. Also has a feature where the top opens and closes. I have since sold this red one but kept the blue one that I got at the same time. Any Yankee Baseball fans? Here is a scarce Roger Maris nodder from 1961. The year he broke the Bambino's record. How about an unknown 1950's Pulp Magazine original art photo. Got it from Terry Stroud years ago. Love the "bullet bra" on the dame and the guy's fake bloodstain! Picked this up for my wife who likes dolls. I like the radio advertising. So we are both happy. It's a die-cut store stand up counter piece from the late 1940's Bought this at the Brimfield MA flea market (google this show, it is amazing). Anyway, was there with a friend and this guy pulls in with a truck of old store stock from a general store. I got this and a tin Roy Rogers Marx horsetruck in the box. What blew me away was when I tried to open this it wouldn't open. My friend then exclaims "Dude, it's still stapled shut!". I got it home and wanted to open it soooo bad but re-considered. It's one of the rarest Marx playsets. Maybe the only one left sealed? It bugged me so bad, I finally sold it on ebay for a pile of money (which is long ago spent...) Last one for today. 1939 Art Deco Marx train set (complete and working): I believe my bucket has run dry so I will re-load it this weekend.
