The CW Renews LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

The CW has taken the suspense out of series renewals this season by picking up all 11 of its current scripted series — the 10 that are now on the air, plus returning Reign. The only renewal decision the network will have to make in May will be on midseason drama Containment, which will not premiere until April 19. Of the existing CW scripted series, the only one not on the list is Beauty and the Beast, which is coming back this summer for a fourth and final season.

Renewed for next season are freshmen DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend as well as The Flash (Season3), Arrow (Season 5), veterans The Vampire Diaries (Season 8) and Supernatural (Season12), The Originals (Season 4), iZombie (Season 3), Jane the Virgin (Season 3), The 100 (Season 4) and Reign (Season 4, sans departing co-star Torrance Coombs) .

caught a timeline dialogue mistake: the nurse calls Canary a "ninja!" No way miss Nowheresville USA ever heard of ninjas... most of us needed Frank Miller to clue us in 30 years later.

although the term has been around since the 15th century, they say it was first used in the west in 1964 in the novel You Only Live Twice.

right. no way the nurse is versed in midlevel Japanese traditions and society. na the show (I believe) was in the 50s predating James Bond novels, which she wouldn't have read.

not a big deal. it was a great line. But a show built around time travel ought to be more aware of lazy mistakes like this one making it into the final -script and on the air.

Legends of Tomorrow Season Finale Rumored to Introduce Beloved DC Comics Character

Well, despite some misinterpreted comments and rumors flying, the cast of Legends will not be wholesale cycled through. According to a report from TVLine, the cast will largely be the same as season one, though they'll have changed as people.

However, it sounds like there will be a new character. As Ausiello wrote, "Rumor has it the final scene of Legends of Tomorrow's May 19 season finale will introduce a 'beloved superhero from the DC canon' whose mysterious agenda serves as 'a launching off point for Season 2.'"

Booster Gold? I don't think they would if a movie is in the works.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow Finale Is Filming Now

Dermott Downs, whose directing credits include episodes of Arrow, The Flash, iZombie, Supergirl and Gotham, will helm the season finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which is filming now.

A tweet from showrunner Marc Guggenheim revealed that four of the show's primary producers will be involved with writing the episode, which is titled "Legendary." Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer wrote the teleplay from a story by Greg Berlanti and Chris Fedak.

Sounds like they want this to end the season on a very high note.

Legends of Tomorrow Synopsis Revealed For Jonah Hex Episode

there’s one place the team hasn’t yet ventured: the Old West. And yet, it wasn’t hard to see such a trip in the Waverer coming, though, thanks to an earlier reveal of grizzled outlaw Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech). When the series returns in April, Schaech will finally have his chance to put a spin on DC’s favorite gunslinger.

CBR revealed a synopsis for the upcoming episode, scheduled to air on April 14, titled ‘The Magnificent Eight.’ The rundown divulges several things of interest, including the fact that Hex is familiar with time travel and that he’s an “old friend” of Rip Hunter – similar to his often time-shifting character the DC comic universe. Take a look at the official summary:

“When the team needs a place to hide out, Rip (Arthur Darvill) sets a course for the Old West. Upon arrival, they start a fight with a gang of outlaws, putting the small town in jeopardy. Luckily, an old friend of Rip’s, Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech), steps in to save them. Thor Freudenthal directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim (#111)”

Last night's episode was quite interesting, with one heck of a story twist.

- We find out who Chronos really is, and how he ended up with the Time Masters

- Sara Lance, stuck in the 1960's, returns to Ra’s Al Ghul

- The team coming back together to fight Chronos

:applause:
