According to a brand new report from On Location Vacations, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has apparently just filmed a scene involving the notorious Marvel character Howard the Duck. The report didn’t indicate the capacity of Howard the Duck’s part in the upcoming sequel; all it tells is us that writer/director James Gunn may have found a way to incorporate the character into a particular scene.

Despite the fact that he isn’t a superhero, Howard the Duck has become legendary for his 1986 movies – often called one of the worst comic book adaptations ever made – which effectively put the character on ice for decades, until Gunn incorporated him into the first film. If audiences respond well to Howard the Duck’s appearances in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, it remains entirely possible that he could soon see new life in his own solo adventure.

I'm guessing the girl in pink is Pom Klimen...something or other...

Who's the one eating her fist?

Is that Nebula?

The film is written and directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Slither). The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cast includes the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (SPECTRE, Guardians of the Galaxy) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Guardians of the Galaxy, Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (Joy, American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, “Gilmore Girls”) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), who plays Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (“The Knick,” The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, Furious 7).

A few days ago saw word hit that Sylvester Stallone was spotted in Atlanta on his way to the set of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Now it's revealed that Sylvester Stallone might be playing a Nova.

Just speculation.

Sylvester Stallone will be a member of the Nova Corps but NOT NOVA. Just read the origin of Sam Alexander (Nova) on the web and you will see where this is going. Stallone will be the father of Sam Alexander.

I guess Gunn was reading this thread, and made some decisions.

Sylvester Stallone's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Role Has Been Revealed

Stallone will be featured as one of Yondu's Ravagers in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, and has a few scenes already completed. No other information, like his name and purpose, is known at this time, but with the casting of Stallone, it looks like the Ravagers might play a bigger role in the new film than they did in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1.

Isn't Sam's father Richard Rider?

No. Jesse Alexander is his father and was a Nova Centurion.

I think they're avoiding using the Richard aka 'Dick' Rider character because of the name.
