My Friend Irma 4 (#2)

 

Looks good in a mylar, , but the cover's loose, and there are several chips and pieces out of the spine, with a couple more out here and there on the FC. FC and BC are only connected for a couple inches near the upper staple. Sigh... Interior is solid with offwhite pages.

Going with The Big Scan here, so you can appreciate the gorgeous black cover. Teensy ink fleck at upper staple, a couple teensy color breaks along the spine, and upper LH BC has a not-quite-dogear that may or may not press out. I think it's a solid 8.0 with a shot at 8.5 or 9.0 with a press, but that's the opinion of a fellow who loves lower grade books. I showed it to a pro in the slabbing field, and he told me the same thing, it should press and grade somewhere between 8 and 9. For what that's worth,

General wear, and I believe the RH edge of the FC has been trimmed. Comparing it to the rest of the edges it's razor sharp. Trimmed, pretty sure. Wrinkling and light staining lower LH corner FC, two pieces tape on spine. Tight spine and CF, white pages.
