Thanks for the list. Nice to see Opus Art Supplies and Voldemort slabbing company at Expo promoting their services and shops. Perhaps Walt Disney will have a nice Star Wars: Rogue One display.

Before Lou Fine gets too excited, Metropolis Comics is from Burnaby, BC, not NYC. Sorry. See you there next week. (thumbs u

That's why I made sure the & Toys was on the list lol, I did a double-take. I don't see Heritage...

I suspect Rogue One is the theme of the Disney display since the movie promotion will be in full swing by then.

Lego does some great displays as well, so nice to see they are setting up. Good for the kids.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but you are both wrong as it will not be the guys from the second floor store across from the Metrotown Mall as they have been totally disappointed with their con sales during the past couple of years. :gossip:

Fixed it above for you as I was speaking with Fishler earlier today and he assured me that Metro would not missed this convention for anything in the world. Apparently he is a big fan of the rainy season and has heard about the record setting 28 days of rain in the city during the month of October. As a result, he has personally assured me that he will now be making his first live appearance at a comic con in more than a decade, just in the hopes of seeing a half decent rainfall. lol

He's joking.

The booking is Metropolis Comics & Toys, located in Burnaby, BC, owner Jonny Botsch.

Figures.... Lou, go soak yourself in rainfall. :insane:lol

Did sent email already ... too late, well it's not a waste. I put in my request by seeking a few books. Hopefully they have something for me.

Oh, come on.....you party poopers are no fun at all! :baiting:

Now, that line-up of collectors waiting in the pouring rain in front of the Convention Centre this morning with their copies of Action 1, 'Tec 31, and Fantastic 3 just waiting to sell them to Fishler next weekend have now all gone back home sorely disappointed. (tsk)lol

lol Maybe not, as I would sell my undercopy Mad 1 to Fisher for a early enter. I could use a exhibitor pass :baiting:

. Heard a rumor that Ha.com may be there. :gossip:

I don't see Heritage...

Maybe Allan needs to check the source of his rumors with the MagikMan. hm

Doubt there's any more books like Magik's Suspense 3 or Chris Bell's Vancouver Pedigree Collection for them to find in this local area, which apparently was the reason why a HA rep might be here doing some hunting. (shrug)

Lou,

There are still some fresh vintage comics that show up unexpectedly at local cons. e.g. There was one (1) Timely that sold at the Bros.'s local con for close to $10,000 asking price. :hi: Sorry, I was not the high roller that bought it.

Actually, something like that is completely out of my price range as I haven't spent anymore than $50 on a book for more than a decade now. Probably low 3-figures on the odd occasion here and there.

That's why it's really more looking as opposed to buying, as everything is just too expensive for me nowadays, being the el cheapo guy that I've always been. doh!

Just tough to find nice books for reasonable prices, although I did finally managed to find a real nice sharp copy of Marvel Premiere #3 with the beginning of the Dr. Strange series in the recent Vancouver show the other week. Nice to to fill a long standing hole in my collection even though it did set me back $35 after the dealer was nice enough to lower it from his initial asking price of $40. :cloud9::whee:
