Had to stop for a quick vaccine check. (Passed with flying colors). Masks required. I have zero problem with it. Zero line to get my badge. Crowd seems light but it is early. Selling badges on site. Been a long time since that has happened. Lots of smiling faces. Got wait for opening a bit. Hopefully, some cool books in the dealers micro area… Have fun Bob! Let us know if there are any comics there!

Cobbledclam
Robotman it’s been a while for you out in a big venue so here’s a few reminders: Have fun seeing old friends, don’t take any wooden nickels, wash your hands, gargle, make sure your zippers up and shoelaces are tied, if you have any mayonnaise on your sandwich in your sack lunch make sure you keep it cold, don’t get into any strange vans unless they have really good candy or it’s Terry Stroud, Robot Man

Popular Post Robot Man
OK, WonderCon 2022… Was so glad to be back after 2 years. But it was considerably different. One thing I noticed that none of the major publishers or toy companies had booths. A very short list of guests most I had never heard of. Tons of small artists, t-shirt, toys and modern animae stuff. Probably 85% of the floor. I passed on most of it. It was very fast to get in and the crowd looked very light even for a Friday. You could even walk up and buy a badge on the spot which has never been the case. My older daughter was a huge Turtles fan growing up so I brought a carded Hot Wheels car to have Eastman sign for her. Took a quick look at the line and saw the cost for an autograph and just passed. It just seemed like a money sucking machine for suckers so I just left. So I hit the dealers area which is the only reason I came. VERY few big out of state dealers. High gas prices? Covid regulations? High booth costs? It was just nothing like the last one I attended. At every show, there are dealers I love great prices, stock and just great people. And there are ones I don’t even look at for the opposite of the ones I like. There were a lot more of the latter this time. I won’t name the ones I don’t like but a shout out to Jamie Graham, Brad Sloan from F-VF, Harley and one of my new favorites, Seeker’s Eye out of the Pacific Northwest. Great guys all of them! There were a lot of nice books in the room but some real stiff prices. Torpedo had the beat to hell Supe 1. Never asked the price. I’m not there for stuff like that and frankly bored seeing the big keys. I must have seen 3 copies of Detective #35. PCH, GGA, Timely and Schomburg were sky high. As always, I got nearly everything out of the boxes and got a great little mix of odd and scarce books in every genre. At the kind of prices you didn’t have to think about. So, I had a great day. Got to chat with friends, pickup some cool books and escape a little from the of the world. Next show, Torpedo in July! Saw this kid and a few of his buddies outside. They were around 13 and all big comic fans. Great to see the future of this hobby is in good hands. Robot Man
Torpedo has some nice stuff at well, Torpedo prices. One of the lowest grade Supe #1’s I’ve seen but it was a Supe#1… Nice bunch of early Detective and a Bat #1. Sorry for the bad photos lighting was terrible in there. And for some reason 2 won’t post right side up… sagii and Larryw7

VERY pretty and such a tough book. Sorry, but I don’t know the seller but a real friendly guy. He had a couple more nice Chesslers as well.
