Got to bump to silver for a second. Was Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos #1 always worth this much? How does an 8.5 of that go for more than a Strange Tales #110 or DD1 presumably?

Looks like the same copy that was on Pawn Stars. Owner wanted 75K the store offered him 45K I believe. The clip was just shown over in General.

Close; both copies (CC and Pawn Stars) are CGC 5.5 with owner notations; however, CC is Jon Berk w/ tape; Pawn Stars is Nic Cage no tape.

Last 8.5 went for $31k about 8 months ago.  9.2 went for $80k in March.  Book has always been tough but the last 18 months prices have been out of control.

It wasn't with tape the last i saw it also was a higher grade someone killed a great book

Sgt Fury 1 is impossible to find in grade.  If you go and shake a random tree, Strange Tales 110s in grade will fall down on you.

haha...  or does it??  anyway, maybe Supes 1 is an easier sell to new money after the 8.0/8.5 set a world record sale price recently, and it's scarce enough in unrestored grades that a 4.0 is a decent grail copy?

Definitely tough in high grade but also it USE to be low demand. I am remembering back when the prices were more in this range.
