The old label, and the bottom right corner wasn't stained too badly with the usual yellow tinge, I had to have a shot at it. The last two copies (9.6's) of these books I saw for sale was on Worldwide, both going for $10k each, last year IIRC. So I'm happy with the outcome. There were a lot of good books on this last connect auction that went for non-hyperbolic prices. It was refreshing to see. I won the Hulk 3 9.0 and was the underbidder on the 4, 5 and 6. The 9.0 #6 went for way more than the 9.2 sold on Heritage a few months ago. The Doctor Strange I had thrown a late bid in expecting it to be topped -- and it wasn't. I didn't get it at a bargain, but I'm comfortable with the price. With what I saw other books I'd been looking at go for this week, that's good enough for me tonight.
