i LOVE g.a. and s.a. comics and their respective forums--notwithstanding that, the movie forum has become my favorite haunt; just such entertaining and humorous reading here.   you never know when you'll open a thread and get "i'm through with marvel at the theater, but when do i get in line for suicide squad 3?"   even more fun than water cooler/baseball thread with my astros ready to cook tomorrow nite.

Well that franchise has left the door wide open.

They've dropped the ball massively, anyone can claim it, and run with the space opera theme without fear of being labelled an imitator.

That could be why I'm not impressed by the trailer, but others have been. Cool comparisons.

Going back as far as the early 60's Fantastic Four adventures there, fast forwarding to the early 80's Micronauts comics, and through today, the Marvel Microverse has always been an inner-space of crazy aliens and worlds, advanced technology, and comic book adventures. Marvel Studios can literally get away with anything now.

I will say that if anything else the special effects are stunning judging by the trailer alone.  I don’t think it was even possible to make a movie as visually stunning as this twenty years ago.
